āConsensual homicide⦠I was starting to suspect that myself,ā Apollo whispers. āLike what Magnifi Gramarye tried to coordinate.ā
āIs a homicide consensual if you blackmail people into murdering you?ā Klavier asks.
āā¦I guess not.ā
Iāve gotten back into AA over the last few months and I just want to say your post about Phoenixās birthday being October 11th way back in 2016, (it just rolled over to midnight so that means itās right now!!) uhhh kinda changed and saved my life bc the timeline as we all know is wonky as heck but now I have a day to assign to him which i love. Also October is my fave month and since I doubt weāll ever get any official standings Iām marking this as canon in my book. Also sorry for this very random ask Iām much too invested in this right now
I'm so glad my queued post brought someone happiness hahaha!! I do love that one of my main contributions to the fandom is establishing Phoenix's birthday with Math XD
PHOENIX WRIGHTāS BIRTHDAY IS ON OCTOBER 11TH
I JUST DID A LOT OF RESEARCH AND HAVE CONFIRMED THAT PHOENIX WRIGHTāS BIRTHDAY IS ON EITHER OCTOBER 11 OR 12. PROBABLY THE 11TH.
So on October 12, 2018, he was 26. (Check his profile in the Stolen Turnabout).Ā
On October 10, 2026, he was 33 (Turnabout Succession). This means that on October 10, 2018, he was 25. Meaning that his birthday is either on the 11th or the first day of the Stolen Turnabout. Since his birthday isnāt mentioned, we can assume that his birthday is on the 11th!
(note: Dual Destinies forgets this fact. But up until that, it was completely consistent.)
Are you telling me Phoenix is a Libra? Youāre telling me that The Ace Attorneyās sign is the scales of justice?
Phoenix Wright was born on Coming Out Day and his star sign is the scales of justice. What an absolute legend.
Was anyone going to tell me that Sam Riegel from Critical Role voiced Phoenixās cutscenes in DD and SOJ or did I need to figure out that Phoenix Wright is a little goblin girl myself??
Moe: To the new circus, donāt make the same mistakes your forefathers did.
Maya: They had four fathers?
Phoenix: Thatās progressive!
you know how for each field of study or job, you'll find weirdly specific discourse that no one outside of that field would even consider? I was writing an oc who is an entomologist and it got me curious if there's any weirdly specific entomology discourse you have strong opinions on that you might like to share
Are termites a type of cockroach?
the answer is Yes.
entomologists were very angry about this for a very long time. Most people have come to accept that yeah, termites are social cockroaches, but some people are definitely still bitter about it. No new evidence came out, people just got tired of fighting and said, "Fine. Get your stupid DNA evidence out of my face, I don't want to die on this hill anymore"
Other weirdly specific entomology discourse revolves around whatever bug you study. Like, I'm obsessed with winter crane flies, and while I was researching them, I saw another entomologist comment that crane flies are objectively the least interesting insect known to science and I wanted to hunt that motherfucker down and hit him over the head with a chair. Do you have any idea how exciting the winter crane fly is?? Holy shit. They're one of the only insects known to forensic science that can give investigators insect evidence in the wintertime, and they're one of the least studied insects for how widespread they are.
(Trichoceridae wikipedia page)
Because capitalism.
("They are of no economic importance.")
every so-called insect lover who has ever insulted a crane fly can get the fuck out of my face. you disgust me, you filthy capitalist. i hope crane flies form dancing, loose swarms of mostly males over your dead body on a soggy winter day and people never find your body because they didn't bother paying attention to the sacred creatures performing your last rites.
Thereās also the lovely unending current discourse over ants and honey bees being considered as wasps or not! This being such an issue because the human concept of taxonomy justā¦severely needs to be rewritten in several areas.
Anyone who tries to say that ants and honey bees arenāt wasps has committed taxonomy fraud and Iām suing
Good news for you, this August 23rd.
Itās that time of year again.
Nice

Nobody taught me about carbon monoxide safety because they assumed my dad told me. Iām your dad now. Iām proud of you, sport.
1. Carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless.Ā
2.Ā However. It is also present whenever you smell exhaust. You should never smell exhaust inside of your car.
3. Running your car in the garage can kill you, even if the garage door is open. It can also kill any pets or family members you have inside, so donāt get any ideas.
4. If your car is parked in deep snow, clear the snow away from the exhaust pipe before turning the thing on. It will flood your car with exhaust and you will die.
5. Donāt run a propane heater, a generator, or a grill inside. Make sure your chimney and heating system are properly ventilated.
6. A CO detector costs $20-$30 and an estimated 57% of the 2100 accidental CO deaths per year in the USA would be prevented if everyone had one (Source).
Feel free to reblog with other facts you wish your dad told you!!

Iām an entomologist and I need to nod approvingly but also point out that Apollo canonically kinned the stag beetle in SOJ.
Also Nahyuta mentioned antlions and it fits. Delicate. Beautiful. Ruthless.
If someone inboxes me an AA character I will respond as a bug scientist with what insect I think they are.

Wright makes some kind of guttural noise on the other end of the phone.Ā āWhat happened to him?ā
āHm?ā
āApollo!āĀ Wright snaps, like that explains everything.Ā āIs he in the Detention Center?! What is he being accused of? Or⦠Or is heā¦?ā
āForehead is fine. The only prison we find ourselves trapped in the awkwardness of adolescence.ā
