Craig David Announces New Album ’22’ and Shares New Track ‘G Love’

Craig David is back. The British singer has announced details about his album, 22, which arrives on Sept. 30 via BMG.

It will mark David’s first album in four years, following 2018’s The Time is Now, which featured the song “I Know” with Bastille.  

David’s new album 22 consists of 12 tracks, including “Who Are You” featuring MNEK, which was released in October 2021.

Following a few remixes and alternative edits of the last song, David issued the disco “My Heart’s Been Waiting For You” featuring Duvall.

David continues to build anticipation for 22 with his latest single, “G Love” featuring up-and-coming artist Nippa. Repping for a throwback vibe, the Mike Brainchild-produced song, sees David and Nippa drawing a picture about their rags-to-riches romance.

“Baby girl, you’re the one / We been rockin’ for a minute / This love so dangerous / But when it comes down to us / And the shit that comes with it / We call that gangsta love,” sings David, over a piano-based production.

He supports his latest single with a visual directed by Ben Smith.

Singer Jennifer Holliday Releases New Music Video for Ballad “So In Love”

BIO: From her early days as a girl singing solos with the choir at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Houston,TX to her years on the Broadway stage and beyond, the inimitable voice of Jennifer Holliday has riveted the hearts of audiences from around the world. In 2016, Ms. Holliday returned to the stage starring alongside Cynthia Erivo in the Broadway revival of The Color Purple as sultry singer Shug Avery. She is a long-standing, dedicated supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and an advocate for mental health and suicide prevention.

Deniece Williams - "When You Love Somebody" | New Music Monday

Legendary songbird Deniece Williams says her new single, "When You Love Somebody," was a "godsend." She tells ABC Audio, "it was really an accident the way it happened."

Williams recalled being in Los Angeles for meetings with her son, Kevin when he introduced her to his songwriter and producer friend from high school, Emile Ghantous, who at the time, was trying to make a name for himself in the music industry.

"[Kevin] said, 'Let me go over here and talk to my boy and see if he'll help us with [my] project," she continued. "And so I went over to the meeting and I sat in the corner to let them have their meeting."

"After the meeting, [Emile] said, 'Miss Williams, you know how much I love you, I've loved you for years.' He said, 'I always wanted to write with you.' He said, 'Do you mind if I play you a couple of tracks? And if you hear anything maybe we can write something.'"

She was truly impressed with the second song Emile played as she started to sing the lyrics, "When you love somebody....and you dance, and you dance and you dance." "Next thing I know, we'd [written] a song," Williams added.

She said she held onto the song for about two months, before playing at a family event, where people could not stop dancing.

"I put the song on and everybody started dancing," she continues. "So I called Emile. I said, 'Well, maybe we have something.' So I said, 'Well, let's put it out and see what happens.' And here we are."

"When You Love Somebody" will be on Deniece Williams' forthcoming album, Gemini.

Blondie release music video for ‘Fun’

Just two weeks after announcing their 11th studio album Pollinator, released through BMG on May 5, rock pioneers Blondie have shared the accompanying music video to their electric lead single ‘Fun’.

The three and a half minute long video was directed by Dikayl Rimmasch, whose credits also include Beyonce’s Grammy nominated visual album Lemonade and her Formation World Tour.

The new single, ‘Fun’, was co-written by BMG publishing client Dave Sitek, guitarist of TV On the Radio.

Setting the stage to a life in Mars, Blondie’s music video for ‘Fun’ serves as the anthem to a world where everyone is welcomed, accepted and celebrated. Chris Stein, guitarist to the band, said ‘In these trying times we need some fun.’
