born and raised in stackhouse. second generation immigrant, his parents moved from south korea after escaping the oppressive and dangerous north. has a baby sister and although he often treats her like a child, he loves her more than anything.
intelligent but very little interest in learning. dropped out of high-school half-way through his junior year. his father kicked him out without question the moment he learned what his son did and tae spent the next few months couch surfing. he eventually got a job and his mother cosigned a lease for a cheap, studio apartment. they both silently agreed to never discuss the money she sent him every month to help him pay rent. his father has yet to forgive him. his mother tolerates him, hoping that being supportive will one day make him receptive to her wishes.
started dealing drugs at nineteen. has been arrested twice for drug possession. spent 30 days in jail for the second offense. only sells weed, acid, ecstasy, and the occasional adderall when he can find it. he hates the idea of anything else.
reckless, at times to the point of being dangerous. takes very few things in life seriously. party boy. emotionally distant. superficial friendships and relationships. builds metaphorical walls around himself and refuses to let anyone beyond them. has difficulty opening up. prides himself on being independent and refuses help from anyone. all of this leads to him being a bit angsty at times.
fiercely loyal to those in his life. often expresses these loyalties in harsh, critical ways.
musically gifted. started playing piano at three and only stopped his lessons when his father kicked him out. saved up money for years in order to afford the upright piano shoved into the corner of his bedroom. often heard playing it late into the night.

looking for:
baby sister (19) - okay so she isn’t exactly a baby sister any longer but tae still sees her that way. studious, serious, critical, anxious, does not understand her limits. started taking adderall to help stay ahead in school. started taking oxy and xanies to come down and take the edge off of life. buys them from tae’s best friend (see below). tae doesn’t know this or that they recently started sleeping together.
ride or die (22-24) - kept his shit together a little longer than tae and actually graduated high-school. more rational one of the pair. keeps tae out of getting into bigger trouble. weakness? tae’s sister. he can’t say no to her, even though he knows some of the things she asks him for are dangerous. prepare for HUGE fall out when tae finds out about them.
love interest (18-25) - need someone to poke through the emotional walls he’s built around himself to get him to open up and maybe motivate him to do more with his life. will not be easy because tae’s kind of a dick and hellsa stubborn. give me all of the drama and angst because i’m trash like that.
customers - tae has a steady set of regular customers who buy drugs from him. they can be anyone around town really. don’t worry, he wants to stay out of jail too so he knows how to be discreet.
hook-ups and flings - kind of a fuckboi. likes to party and just have a good time. there’s a good deal of both women and men that he’s been with floating around stackhouse.
