The cure for a fallacious argument is a better argument, not the suppression of ideas.

I went to a market today in midtown and met a girl who was selling her poems. You pick your topic and price and she writes you a poem on the spot. The girl before me traded her favorite drawing pen for a poem. I traded $3 for a poem about traveling.
humans are so cute, when we say goodbye we put our arms around each other and to show we love someone we bring them flowers. we say hello by holding each other’s hand, and sometimes tiny little dewdrops form in our eyes. for pleasure we listen to arrangements of sounds, press our lips together, smoke dried leaves, get drunk off of old fruit. we’re all just little animals, falling in love and having breakfast beneath billions of stars :~)

According to a study in the journal Animal Cognition, chimpanzee’s do something that seems altogether arbitrary: ear accoutrements.
“Our observation is quite unique in the sense that nothing seems to be communicated by it,” says study author Edwin van Leeuwen, a primate expert at the Max Planck Institute in The Netherlands.
To figure out if this was really a tradition, and not just chimpanzees sticking grass in their ears at random, van Leeuwen and his colleagues spent a year observing four chimp groups in Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust, a sanctuary in Zambia.
There’s no genetic or ecological factors, the scientists believe, that would account for this behavior — only culture.
Chimpanzees putting grass in their ears is like us wearing earrings.

"When we’re listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand. Ideas actually begin to grow within us and come to life."
"Try to learn tranquility, to live in the present a part of the time every day. Then suddenly you begin to hear not only what people are saying, but what they are trying to say, and you sense the whole truth about them. Then watch your self-assertiveness. And give it up. One must really listen. Only then does the magic begin."

The other night, I had a nightmare about an ex boyfriend. It took place when I was dating him,he was making fun me and picking at the way I look. That’s actually what typically happened on a daily basis when we were together. It started off with small comments about things I enjoyed to more brutal...
