Little Richard is a Legend. He is my Aunt Mary’s favorite performer.. I had a brief encounter with this Legend. I was staying at a hotel on Sunset Blvd. I got into the elevator, and there he was. I was shocked and kept silent. He greeted me and I said “Hello”. Then he asked me if I was one of his backup singers. I smiled and replied “no”.
I exited my floor and said bye. I wish I would have engaged in more of a conversation. However, having lived been living in the City of Angels, I had developed the philosophy of giving entertainers their space. Greet. Give a complement if admired. Move on. This is one time I regretted having stuck to that phylosophy.My he rest in peace.
