"Don't go.."
Carol looked up from the bag she was stuffing with her belongings, the things she definitely did not want to leave behind, she wiped at her eyes again quickly tilted her head slightly, her expression slightly pained. “I have to.” She replied quietly. Rick had found out, and he’d told her to leave, and Carol wasn’t about to beg him to let her stay. She looked back down and continued to pack her things, she hated this, she was going to have to leave everyone behind, the people who had been her family for so long now… but there wasn’t really anything else she could do.
"You think I’m gonna just let you go?" He snapped, both hands on both straps of her bag as he looked down at her. His gaze switched from eye to eye as he stood idly. "No, we’ve always been there for each other.. Always." His tone was quieter now once he had realized he snapped at her. The feeling of Carol leaving was unbearable. She had helped him at his darkest moments and now she was ready to leave? "I’m going with you whether you like it or not."
Carol’s bottom lip twitched slightly as she remained looking down, avoiding him. If she told him, he’d definitely hate her, think she was some sort of cold blooded murderer. She was both a mixture of frustrated and upset, she didn’t want to go. She took a slightly shaky breath and wiped at her eyes, again trying not to let all the years out. “You have to let me go. Rick told me to go.” She finally said, her voice quiet.
"Then we’re both leaving." His hands were shaky as they gripped the straps of her bag. "I can’t let you go out there alone, who knows how long you’d survive.. I’m going with you." Whether he had been bluffing or not, it seemed so real now. Carol really had to leave and he was really going to follow. "Please, just tell me.." He begged, feeling like Carol didn’t trust him anymore.
"No." Carol replied. "You’re not coming with me, I can do it by myself." She continued, standing up, she wanted her bag back. "No one is supposed to know, I’m supposed to just leave, Allen, please…" She held her hand out, gesturing for her bag. "I can’t tell you… And I’m sure Rick will tell everyone anyway. I messed up." Her voice grew quieter again, she didn’t regret what she’d done, she did it for a good reason, but she wasn’t proud of it either.
"I'm going with you." He snapped back at her. His eyes filled with anger and fear, although he tried not to show it. "Fight it all you want, but I'm not leaving. You're all I have, Carol. We need to stick together. Please." The words had barely escaped his lips. The walls felt as if they were closing in on him, the ground felt like it was shaking, and suddenly a panic attack swept over his body. "Now point in the direction we are going."

"Don’t pretend that I didn’t matter to you!" "Why do you care?" "You’re the one who left!" "Believe what you want." "You’re wrong." "You think you know everything about me, but you don’t." "I found this last night. Is it yours?" "I’m guilty." "How could you do that?" "Holy shit!" "If you ever loved me you’d let me go." "Love you? How could I ever love you? You’re broken and I’m not going to try and fix that." "Shut up!" "But you promised." "I’m going to just… leave then."

"Then I’m leaving to." He stated, slipping her bag over his shoulders. His expression had remained the same throughout their conversation. Puzzled, yet completely serious. "Let’s go." Completely bluffing, he awaited her response. "But we’re not leaving until you tell me what’s going on."
What was he doing? Carol frowned up at him and shook her head, she wasn’t going to stand with this. “Allen…” She said seriously. “Allen, just give me my bag, please. You’re staying here. I… I can’t tell you why I have to leave.” Her voice grew quieter, trying to avoid getting upset yet again, she didn’t need another meltdown like she’d had outside with the water containers.

Noticing she wasn’t going to tell him, he grabbed the bag away from her and held it behind his back. “Carol.” His tone was quiet, not wanting to be loud, knowing she had been hiding something. They had always been close, something bad was going on if she was keeping something from him. The bag remained behind his back as he looked down at her, waiting for her to confess.
"I have to leave." Carol offered him a brief explanation, looking up at him. "I have to…” She went quiet again, trying to wait him out, hoping he’d give her things back. She knew he was only being considerate, trying to help her, but she couldn’t tell him what she’d done, why she had to leave. She didn’t want him to think she was different… cold, remorseless… a murderer. She wasn’t.

You've got three words to make my character blush.

"Carol.." Allen faintly whispered, looking down at the belongings being shoved into a bag. "What are you doing?" His expression stayed puzzled as he looked around the cleared out room. Was she leaving? She couldn’t be, she was such an asset to the group, they all needed her, Allen needed his best friend. As things continued to be shoved into her bag, he put his hand on top of it to stop her. "What’s going on?"
A heavy, defeated sigh escaped her lips as he stopped her from packing her things away. She stalled for a moment, not wanting to look up at him. She was supposed to just slip away without anyone noticing, that’s what Rick had asked her to do. “Nothing…” Was all she could say as she shook her head slightly. Her eyes locked on his hand, waiting for him to move it away. “Please… Allen?”
