A Leslie Howard photo dump 🌹
Basil Rathbone in The Mad Doctor (1941) George and his kitty requested by @rauferes
Watched this tonight. Primarily a swivel-eyed rant about the dangers of psychiatry, with such heavy coding between Rathbone (marrying and murdering boring heiresses to keep him in the style to which he has become accustomed) and his flower-arranging, cat-sketching, poloneck-wearing sidekick that I genuinely began to suspect it was deliberate. This scene, in which Rathbone pets his cat, lounges decoratively on a sofa and bitches about his now-murdered wife's taste in interior design, was definitely one of the highlights.
[recommending something i sincerely love] ok so the thing about it is it kinda sucks
The handsome Leslie Howard 🌹
He was an English actor, director, producer and writer!
Howard wrote many stories and articles for The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Vanity Fair and was one of the biggest box office draws and movie idols of the 1930s!
