Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 AU for Lestappen keeps haunting me.

In the original universe we know of two factions: the Painters and the Writers, and they are at war with each other. But to expand on that, we can have the Musicians (aligned with Writers), the Sculptors (aligned with Painters), and the Historians (neutral).

To go with a different storyline: Charles died after an ambush made by the Writers/Musicians. They burnt all of his paintings except one, the Maranello. It still had a fragment of his soul in it. In his grief, Max jumped in the canvas and recreated a world where they still live happily with each other, at the cost of his deteriorating health. Not wanting to lose their remaining parent, Gabi initially went in by himself, creating chaos and destruction to ruin the painting to pull Max back into the real world.

The work is hard though, since Max is an extremely good Painter (some would consider him to be the best of his generation) and he can counter Gabi’s creations effectively. The outside pressure from the Writers/Musicians didn’t help, and everything started to overwhelm Gabi. So as a last resort, he enlisted the help from Kimi, who was still struggling to recover after the ambush. Gabi created a version of himself in the Canvas and instructed it to keep on creating Nevrons until Maranello is destroyed.

Now, Kimi is a very good Sculptor, and but only a decent Painter, so when he jumped into the Canvas, he lost himself in the process due to the heavy influences from both Max and Gabi. He was reborn inside the Painting as Andrea, had a brother named Ollie, and lived as a creation inside the Painting.

Andrea and Ollie suffered from pain and grief when they had to witness their parents, their friends, and lovers disappear through the years due to the Macchia (or the Gommage in the original game). So when the times came, they joined Expedition 33 to slay the Painter (Max) and saved Maranello once and for all.

I am a really new fan and started watching races after Monza 2025 can u explain why u dislike Carlos ?? Because Charles is very friendly with him ( I don't know a lot of their teammate lore and my first experience was the baku van trip)

Thank you, boo!! I appreciate this so much <3 I'm glad you appreciate my and my anons anti- George, McLaren, and Mercedes rants lol. I try not to talk about them too much and just focus on the stuff I actually enjoy, but sometimes you just gotta let it out, you know? (I try to tag appropriately tho.)

I will also make an exception to my attempt at positivity to explain why I don't like 55 below the cut!

I know Charles is friendly with him, but this is one of those cases where I don't care how Charles feels, I'll dislike him anyway.

Basically, Sa*nz was a bad teammate, and was always much more concerned about beating Charles than anything else. He always went too hard on race starts trying to keep close to Charles, just so he could whine on the radio asking for a swap because "I'm faasssttteeerrr' only to have to then have to back off a lap later because he'd literally destroy his tires trying to keep up with Charles. He raced him harder than literally anyone else and his w2w is trash so it usually wasn't a good battle. He disregarded team orders a few times despite asking for them practically every race. And the worst was that his PR machine spread a lot of negative press about Charles during their time as teammates that has fueled certain narratives around him to this day.

Aaannnd these are also the main reasons I don't personally fuck with cha*los- I have a hard time shipping my favorites with people that are nasty to them irl.

Anyways, other people will more specific info, but that's the gist of it. Totally understand why people might not mind him, but I hold grudges so he's quite honestly my first or second least favorite driver on the grid and I delight in any misfortune that finds him :)

Also, I need people to understand that the S**nz effect is actually about Sr, not Jr. Every team he went to, his father will establish himself and his entourage to gain influences on the team principals. There’s a reason why Sr clashed so hard with J*s back when Max and him were at Toro Rosso. Looking back, you’ll see how every teammate of him always got the ‘weaker’ and ‘doesn’t contribute to the car development’ allegations (yes, even with LN back in MCL, and happening rn with AA at W)

Sometimes I think about F1 and drivers’ images that they want people to see, and I can see how people seemingly hate George even more than Lando. We have Charles being the perfect PR dream with some sass here and there, Max being very straightforward and brazen, Carlos being smooth af (heh), and even Lando has that gen-z charm (like if you look at popular twitch streamers then you’ll see).

George is just… in the middle. He’s not as polished as Charles, not as ruthless as Max, not as quietly confident like Carlos, not as open as Lando. Everything about his image is just… halfway there. So when he does his interviews, he can make a lot of good points, but the way he expresses them is just not in any lane at all, and they come off as very halfhearted and whiny sometimes, even downright hypocritical in some cases too.

Sometimes I wanna try to understand the guy, because tbh he does speak the truth a lot, but he just needs to choose what’s the exact image he wanna show to the audience instead of being all over the place like this.
