Oh, I hadn't seen this earlier. I was already helping get him out, I noticed faster than he did. He might be able to give me the slip easily, but I caught my daughter before she ran off after him.
He was rescued, though not until after getting half the staff giggling or gawking.

Might I suggest something like this for him for the future?
Find an adult sized pirate styled one and I think we might be able to guilt him into it. Rosie's very persuasive.
If you put me on a leash like a dog, I will act like a dog. And I will bite.
I will not wear any of that, not even the pirate one, that is humiliating. No convincing or guilting in the world would be enough to persuade me. And I do not think that such things exist in adult sizes. Why would adults keep each other on a leash? The child leash is already questionable, just a tool for incapable parents who did not invest enough time or effort to properly teach their offspring to not run away, and then attempt damage control with such a primitive tool.
Sherry, you might want to talk to @twireneadler if you want to discuss leashes for adults. That woman knows her tools very well. You might learn a thing or two.
As pretty as the man's neck is, I doubt he'd enjoy a leash. Far too... fidgety for that sort of thing. Don't you think, @consult-johnhwatson?
If my neck is so pretty, wouldn't a collar or leash be counterproductive, given it would cover up part of my neck and hide it from view?

He is not good at understanding a lot of things when it comes to normal social behaviour and rules. And it's even harder to explain/teach them to him. I'm not even sure if he understands that his actions hurt me.

He's terrible at understanding that sort of thing. Maybe one day it'll get into his skull that people have sentiments associated with objects. Maybe pigs will actually fly that day. I didn't forgive him for a long time. But eventually, life goes on, and holding on to old grudges was more likely to be detrimental than helpful. Trust me, one day it'll seem like a smaller offence than it does now.
I have this case (and those cigarettes) because of a very simple reason. And it's honestly embarrassing for you that you haven't figured it out.
Let me give you a hint, my dear snowflake: the reason I have this cigarette case is the same reason why you are still holding on to a certain phone from a certain woman.
I have considered that reason, that it might be a keepsake, however it still does not make sense in that regard to check whether the cigarettes are inside that case every day. Usually keepsakes are kept on shelves, in glass cases or secure places, but most people would not check their content every day. Except of course if the keepsake is connected to a daily ritual or another usage, which could be for example smoking. But you claimed to not smoke. So I disregarded the possibility of it just being a simple keepsake because those factors contradicted it.
And it can't be the same reason, given I just held onto the phone for evidence. After all the phone played an important role in a case and contained sensitive information, so I obviously kept it as evidence. And I do not think that this cigarette case or the contained cigarettes are evidence, because I did not find any particular features of interest on them.
