The Crown Prince and the Corrupt Youkai
It seemed like a fine day. The Crown Prince stepped out of Senkai with a relaxed expression. But then she noticed a dark figure. Quite dark I would say. Miko’s expression quickly got more grim. This was an unsettling aura. This was very different from the usual youkai of boundaries. Much more dark. “(What the hell is she doing here?)” Miko looked at Yukari with a judging look, and held her shaku close to her face. “What are you doing—” Miko suddenly stopped in quite shock. She noticed a beat up Futo. Futo had gone out, and there she was now.
"You…" Miko put down her shaku, and raised her palm. "Tao Sign “Heavenly Way Atop One’s Palm”!!” A giant orb of light appeared on Miko’s palm, which was accompanied with smaller danmaku around. “You hurt my ally, and now you will pay.” Miko threw the orb right at Yukari.
This was the beginning of a battle, and a pretty big one too.
{۵} -- Quality entertainment was clearly not easily to be found this place. The thought was echoing through the dark gap youkai's mind as she easily overtook the strange girl who guarded this peculiar area. It didn't take much at all, just a mere flicker (or at least this Yukari's definition of one) to take her out.
{۵} -- Yukari had stumbled upon the entrance to this area before, some place called 'Senkai' apparently. It had proven... Just a bit interesting the last time, so naturally the youkai had marked it down. But perhaps she had been mistaken the first time.
{۵} -- A great yawn was heaved from her thin, elegant lips as she trudged on, the white parasol that the woman always held, up and afloat upon her shoulder. Small steps were taken, as the youkai continued her way down the ancient stone paths. But she had not been far before, coming from directly behind her, a yell was heard.
{۵} -- The dark youkai turned just in time to dodge an incoming danmaku bullet. From the mass of chaotic light, the youkai could just barely make out an unfamiliar girl stand a whiles away from her, near the central of the danmaku. Just then, at that moment, a sneer began to sneak its way across the youkai's features.
{۵} -- Perhaps, this place just may have some merits.
{❦} -- "My, my, is this how you greet all your guests, invited or uninvited? How horribly rude of you. Then, in that case, please allow me to teach you to teach you the proper response to these vulgar welcomes."
{۵} -- A small gap opened in front of the youkai, the contents teeming with what looked like dark smog. The small danmaku that were around the youkai were immediately drawn over to the gap, like a whirlpool draws in a ship, and then the gap promptly... disappeared.
{۵} -- That seemed like the end of it all, before the gap was reappeared and the spray of danmaku was shot back at her opponent, the bullets transformed into ones with dark violet and black colors.

She shook her head and waved her hands, a high falsetto laugh hissing awkwardly from her mouth. It was almost as if the wind from her lips itself was shivering at the sight of Yukari. “I- I well I’m just you know a tengu and I’m just a photographer!” She tried another laugh before tripping over her own flimsy attempt to be sociable, “Wait not that kind of photographer I’m- I’m a CARTOGRAPHER! You see, I take pictures and transcribe them into maps so I…”
If Yukari had superhearing she could probably hear something along the lines of pleading to spare the yamabushi’s life.
"Aaaanyhow what was that about disarray? I mean, I don’t think there’s been any incident oor…" Jun you’re socially inept, not an idiot.
"Oh maybe it’s about all this other universe parallel dimension stuff that’s been floating about? I was going to ask questions about that and…"
~۵~The claimed "cartographer's" words had managed to float by and imprint themselves into Yukari's mind, even among the utter panicked state in which Jun spoke in. But this, as, well, arouse the dark gap youkai's sense of annoyance. And that was never, ever a good thing. Those elegant eyebrows curved downward and low, and her dark violet orbs narrowed. At this moment, you could almost feel the dark aura that radiated off of her.
Oh how she hated people who had no grip on themselves.
Of course, she hated a majority of people who had the nerve to present themselves in front of her without a reasonable purpose, at least in her terms of reasonable. The fear in the yamabushi's voice was blantly obvious, an elevated rate of speech and the pale features that had presented themselves on the other's face.
"And why would you ask something like that of me, hm? I have heard many rumors of others wandering about, so why doesn't a little pathetic creature such as yourself go off and bother someone else, hm?"
A even tone was present as the youkai spoke, with a lingering trace of coldness, that managed to hide the annoyance that she felt for this particular being at the moment. Her head had tilted down slightly, her bangs effectively manipulating the ray of shadows to cast a dark look upon herself.
"Per say... Someone who truly enjoys bothersome company such as yourself?"

"Oh, isn’t that the almighty youkai Yukari?" Mamizou eyed the youkai before her up and down with an intrested look on her face. What an unexpected visit! "What might you wish with me?"
"…"
Yukari eyed the figure in front of her with an air of interest. A tanuki, perhaps? She may have to be careful around this particular person.
"Why… yes, you are correct."
"Who may I have the great honor of addressing this day?”
"I’m Mamizou Futatsuiwa, a Tanuki~!" Mamizou stated proudly, pointing her thumb at her chest. "I would never have thought a youkai like you would bother to come here."
"To abide by all my reasoning, I have never ventured here before. It would be a shame to miss some the... wonderful sights that this... beautiful land has to... offer, would it not?"
Some of her words seemed to be spat out, but nonetheless they were out.
"And I go by the name of Yukari Yakumo. But perhaps not the one you may be familiar with."
She crossed her arms one more as she talked about her patience and her false caring and whatnot, waiting for her to finish speaking once more. Reimu figured that she got a good massage to her ego while speaking, and she didn’t want to ruin it for her; she was a bit similar in that regard.
"You know, had you visited at another time, I would take you up on that, as I have a few surprises in store that would make a battle interesting. However, there’s a few reasons as to why I’m leaving you be, one of them being that I’m still standing here unharmed." She gestured to the area around her. "At any point here, you could have killed me, but you didn’t. There’s too much against you, and you lack enough footholds here to attempt anything." She looked off to the horizon that showed a good portion of Gensokyo from their height, towards a familiar field of sunflowers. “The second one is that there’s a Yuuka that, from what I was told, was barely held off by another Yuuka and Eirin simultaneously. And she’s after me and my family, for reasons I dread…” She shook her head, not wanting to think more on that with this Yukari around.
"The third reason I’m not doing anything, though, is because I’m not stupid. Even with the help I have now, I’d need more allies nearby to attempt going after you, and one of them is at his weakest until spring arrives." Reimu arched her back, stretching a bit. "Nnh… So yeah, that’s why I’m not doing anything. I’m only in a position to defend, and I’ve got no spare resources to attack."
Yukari arched her eyebrows in surprise. This Reimu was much, much different from the one she had targeted and watched for the past years. What was this... Did the dark-hearted and corrupted youkai actually sympathize the shrine maiden, even for a moment?
Yes, yes, that was it. It was perhaps the ways she spoke with such experience and knowledge, she must have been better than the selfish miko that Yukari had despised; someone just worthy of a bit of honor, perhaps.
But she quickly covered up those feelings, and reverted back to her hard manner. "... Well... You speak reason at least, shrine maiden." A dark gap, one swirling with the same poisonous fog opened up beneath the youkai, and she stepped in it.
"I will leave you be, for now. But only for now. One time soon, I will twist this Gensokyo from your own wonderland to my world of darkness. And I will make sure that is lasts within your lifespan. Then, we will see if you regret your decision or not..."
There was a slight waver in her tone, but nonetheless, it was coated with the same menace and coldness as before.

"Oi, what are you doing here gap lady?"
"Dear, dear, I thought this place called ‘Senkai’ was open for all to come." The dark gap youkai mused, a smirk placed upon her pale features as she looked the green spirit up and down with a calculating look.
"But it seems that I was wrong to have even considered coming to this place. If they let such… atrocious spirits like the one I am seeing speaking to me right now, it does not seem like such a wonderful place from what I had originally heard to be spoken of." She said, her tone not at all inviting or warm.
"Now shoo, perhaps with you out of my line of sight, I can find some further interests in this area."
"Fufu, my, my, you seem to have not realized my intentions at all." Unfazed by Tojiko’s words, Yukari merely took a few steps closer to Tojiko until they were a mere few inches away from one another.
"I do not wished to be accepted to this place. It does not matter to me if all its residents come to detest me greatly. I do not come to seek insight, or whatever it is that you do here." She replied evenly, looking straight at the spirit with an unnervingly calm look.
"I merely have come to cause a good stir here. I have heard of many very peculiar things about this place. It may provide quite useful.” At that, she stopped, the cold smile upon her features still not fading.
"Now, spirit, if you do not let me pass this moment, there will not be the most desirable results in store for you."
"I assume you didn’t understand what I meant by you getting out of here. I don’t care if your intentions are to just press my buttons, or others here, but either way your not welcomed at all." Hmm this is odd, Tojiko is taking this awfully well all of a sudden. Suppose she doesn’t want to let Yukari see what she wants.
"So, if it means I’ll have to teach you a lesson then I gladly accept."
"Ohoho, a lesson, I hear? Do you mean, to battle me?" The smile on Yukari's features continued to grow. "How foolish. But, I can't underestimate the residents of the land so soon, I suppose. So, if that is your request, then..."
"I will gladly accept."
twistedboundaries got lost
This is a rather peculiar Reimu. Yukari thought to herself, But yet again, a bit more enjoyable in a sense… Only by a meager margin, of course.
Her lip curled up into the barest of things the resembled a smile.
"Well then, dear,” Once again, the word was nearly forcefully spat out. “Perhaps a question upon your change of clothes? Red is rather high upon the scale of power, is it not? Did you find the color of black to be more suitable? For, I assure you, that it is not at all.”
Shadow Reimu realized she might as well just tell the truth as this Yukari was already most likely onto her charade
"Allow me to confirm the suspicion you are most likely having I am not really the Reimu you probably know."
"Oh?"
By now, the dark gap youkai's interest in this figure peaked. Perhaps this person was something like her?
"Then who are you? Another simple 'doppleganger' or something else entirely?"

Well this was an odd sight. She sifted through her resource files. Not a single recent picture. It was almost unheard of for this person to be here, of all places.
"Yukari Yakumo. Nocturnal, hibernal, ethereal, and… …u-um… absolutely sensual in a… a…! I… I’ve gone to your dwellings before… ah! For… for, pictures and like, y’know, geographical locations, y’know… so… um… I usually have to… Ran’s there and, like… um…
… I dunno if you remember me. You… ah…”
Shut it shut it before you accidentally start spilling information about Ran’s measurements or something this is a person that will eat you and your business alive.
The dark gap youkai looked this strange tengu up and down, her eyebrows raising higher and higher as she did so.
"Nocturnal... Hibernal... You called me?" Yukari sniffed. "What a rather dull word. Who has got time for any rest, with such disarray about, hm?"
With that, the youkai hovered over to the peculiar figure, arms folded across her chest. "Who might you be, anyhow? If you refuse to respond, I will simply have to dispose of you, I warn."
Hide you stuf- Oh wait, nothing is safe from the gap youkai!
"…"
Dark Yukari gaps the gray-faced anon into Misty Lake. “Of course not. Not even you yourself.”
Unamused Yukari is unamused.
