Not every intersex person with a vagina was AFAB. I feel like people should maybe comprehend that. Ive seen a lot of hate for people saying "You can have a vagina and be transfem" and regardless of how you feel about afab transfem stuff it doesnt matter because you do not have to have been AFAB to have a vagina.

Like no... even with "male-leaning" genitalia on the ambiguous genitalia scale you can still have a vagina. Thats literally just the hole, usually itd be blind in those cases aka, not leading to like a uterus. But it is very much still there.

I need perisex trans & cis people to genuinely just take a step back and learn anything at all before they start enforcing arbitrary rules onto us that dont make any sense. We really gotta teach you guys to not use AGAB as shorthand for the sex traits that someone does or does not have, because really it means jackshit.

I don’t have time to unpack my full thoughts on the whole argument of ‘you shouldn’t be a burden to the healthcare system’ but I would like to chime in on it:

so, all athletes should immediately stop playing sports. construction workers, anyone with jobs that put them at risk, they need to find different employment. people with uteruses shouldn’t ever get pregnant, either. actually you know what? don’t enter a car or vehicle at all! and don’t even get me started on old people. what age do we think they should just give it up & throw in the towel? 50? 60? after that they become way too burdensome. it’s a problem.

Being able to draw older people as attractive without reducing or erasing the visual signs of aging, and in fact showing that they're attractive because of those signs, is an artistic skill that should be valued so much more. Honestly, it should earn you an immediate fortune because holy fuck is it a rare commodity. There are so many artists who seem to think attractiveness and aging exist in opposition to each other, so they smooth every wrinkle, erase every crease, and de-age the character until they're basically thirty with silver hair. But when an artist can look at crow's feet, smile lines, weathered skin, deep-set wrinkles, and all the little traces of a life well lived and say, "No, that's what makes them beautiful," that's a level of artistic observation and care I wish we celebrated more often.

idk if i’m misinterpreting this blog’s purpose but. here goes.

i spend a decent chunk of time watching dermatology videos on youtube and something i never fail to notice is the comments talking about asian spas. specifically, how they are “butcher shops” compared to these Amazing, Most Bestest Professional (WESTERN) Dermatologists Who Could Never Do Wrong, and how apparently unsanitary they are (often simply because they use non-western practices).

it’s never just spas or aestheticians in general, it’s always specified as ASIAN spas as if they are all one filthy, unprofessional, skin-defiling conglomerate, all the while refusing to acknowledge that much of their criticisms are speaking purely through a western lens and completely ignoring how medicine is different depending on where you are in the world.

you will also find a lot of “they need to go to a REAL doctor” comments about the clients of these spas, which is kind of just… general classism and highly presumptuous about the limitations said clients may have.
