This is my first time posting on here but I am opening commissions. I'm in kind of a poor situation as I have yet to get my license and my grandmother is struggling with cancer so I'd like to make money to get pay for my stuff myself to help her out! she offered a man she knew for 15 hours tops a place to live — at her own house, mind you. absolutely rent free. this is not an action that falls in line with people’s perception of her being “selfish” and “a complete bitch”. it is, at its core, a selfless act that most of you would not do yourselves.
i saw someone claim trinity only reported langdon because of her grudge against him which is straight up just not true. when talking to robby about langdon she says “i don’t want to get anyone in trouble”. she has a strong sense of justice, she wasn’t trying to ruin frank’s career for no reason (unlike frank himself, who tried to smear santos’ name the second he realized she was onto him)
took the fall for mohan after she screwed up, even when they weren’t close at all.
her being mad he didn’t get fired but also not reporting him is HUMAN!! sure, maybe she should let it go, but it’s natural to feel the way trinity does, you guys just hold her to an impossible standard and when she feels any negative emotions about langdon’s return, you treat her as if she’s some sniveling brat who doesn’t deserve her title as a doctor.
santos can hardly be classified as a “bully” as so many of her antis like to call her. of course, she can be kind of mean, pushing people’s buttons for fun. but while it’s unprofessional, she is their colleague, not their superior. if we’d like to talk about bullies, let’s discuss how michael robinavitch has been treating samira mohan since season one — THAT is bullying, using his position of power to look down on the women in his staff, mocking her in front of a room of people for having a panic attack. santos giving her coworkers mean nicknames is not bullying, it’s banter.
trinity antis tend to ignore her complex, kindhearted qualities and chalk them up to “only caring when it’s personal to her”. but she does care, she just goes the extra mile for abuse victims or people who she can relate deeply to. with that girl who overdosed in season one, trinity was trying to help, but she just didn’t go about it the correct way.
idk maybe some of you just need to go outside because i know like 10 girls who love to beat dead horses and none of them are bad people😭😭just frustratingly petty.
this isn’t even about people crying for complex female characters and then complaining when they actually get them, it’s the fundamental misinterpretation people have for her character.
you don’t have to like doctor santos, she’s hardheaded and i understand that may not be everyone’s type of character, but she is NOT a bad person/bully, some of you are due for some fresh air and interaction with real people.
