Getting interview ready
Decided to get a new tattoo. Done by the awesome Roberto Poliri at Land Ahoy Tattoo in Glasgow.
Thats ok! Was just wondering how application usually goes? Did they send u an email after? Or just ignored u completely? Did they give u reasons or nah?
Usually they give an email to say your application has been received and ether it's been accepted or not. I found the feedback wasn't great on why I hadn't been accepted but I applied the European scholarship route which was highly competitive. I don't know which route you're going down, or which application processes you're eligible for. My friend David meffe (he'll be on FB as that name) was accepted via the non European scholarship route maybe he may be more help. Just if you don't get in (at least via scholarship like I did) don't get discouraged, it's highly competitive
Hi!! I'm Kate from the PH and a 2nd yr college student. I'm very interested in applying for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship once I graduate. Can I ask you some questions about it? I promise I won't be too annoying 😁
You wouldn't get much luck asking me since I failed to get in but I'll give it a bash haha
Feel like a haircut may be in order...

Omelette soufflée et piperade
One of the good things about living in my house is the rest of my housemates are Australian. You may wonder what that has to do with food, if anything at all, but Australian housemates mean Australian family connections and as often happens with family connections – free food!
In this case it was eggs. Lots and lots of eggs. So for the past week or so my diet has consisted of French toast and…

Pain perdu avec compote de fraises et basilic
When I was a kid (and even now at 23) French toast was a special treat that my dad would make. Sometimes it was on birthdays, sometimes on Christmas or even just Sunday mornings. No matter the occasion, I remember the frying pan sizzling and slice after slice of bread disappearing from the loaf and reappearing in a hulking pile upon the plate. When I was very young he would even make a special…

Quatre-quarts aux agrumes
Rachel Khoo describes this as a recipe that most French cooks know because it’s so simple. Just four ingredients! So, being a bit of an apprehensive baker, I thought this will do grand. Simple baking! That’s what I need. I need to build myself up to the harder stuff, so bring on some tasty simple cakes.
Lesson 1 of quatre-quarts aux agrumes: Simple does not mean easy. Do not confuse this.
However…

Sweet and savoury open-faced sandwiches
I’ve come to realise Australian’s love a good barbecue. Hardly a summer day goes by when I can’t smell the delights of char-grilling meats as I walk home from work.
My household is no different.
Although we don’t get a lot of chances to eat together, when we’re all free and the sun is shining you can guarantee the barbecue will be on the go. Sizzling sausage, thick juicy steaks and cobs of yellow…

Bula fellow cooks!
It’s been a while and I lo and behold I have been writing! Not a huge revelation since I am a writer, I write this blog (less frequently than I would like), I studied writing at university but the big news is someone is paying me to write! There are indeed crazy people in the world who control money making opportunities so there is hope for us all.
As well as writing (the corporate kind) I went…
