Today, October 3rd is what I consider to be my and @tylerscribble ‘s official first wedding anniversary 💍💞 It was this day last year that we married ourselves before God in a ceremony we planned, designed, wrote, and performed ourselves alone in a cabin we rented in a forest. 🌲During this time last year, I was seven months pregnant in my third trimester. We kept the gender a surprise, so at this time I didn’t know that it was our precious son Cedar inside me! I am so grateful to have him with us now. 👪💗 It was stressful to plan and pay for the wedding while I was pregnant, especially since I was a high risk pregnancy with my Crohn’s. I refused to keep taking Humira while pregnant so against all doctor’s orders I quit it cold turkey, and I was going through a lot. We were living in a tiny studio apartment on the third level up three flights of stairs in the middle of the city. I had worked hard saving up every cent of backpay I received from the government for having had Crohn’s undiagnosed for years and being considered disabled. I didn’t spend a cent of it except for our rent and groceries, and then I used the rest for our ceremony. I am very proud that Tyler and I did it all ourselves, our ceremony was completely ours and personal. We had our stuffed animals as the audience and worked hard on making our decorations personal to us. There is footage of our ceremony on my YouTube. ☺ Thank you God for allowing us the opportunity to have had this ceremony, and for giving us Cedar, our greatest blessing. 👼✨🙏
