As Takeshi was about to deliver the final strike to end a Vampires life, he saw his men suddenly collapsing around him before he felt light headed himself. Quickly delivering the blow, he growled. How dare they use such underhanded tricks to defeat them. Vowing revenge, he finally lost conciousness.
Feeling a burning sensation across his wrist and ankle, Takeshi finally regained his conscious to find that all his surviving men had all been captured, including Faust. With all his men rounded up and chained with silver, he looked around him looking for a way to escape. If they’d gone this far to capture them, perhaps the Vongola leader would finally reveal himself.

The Vampire kept a straight face as he watched the other Vampires interrogate the Lycans who were left alive after the first attack. The Leader would most likely survive it. The question is who could possibly be the leader among them? It can be anyone of those Lycans who are tied up in chains at the moment. It can be an ordinary looking Lycan or it can be… a woman for all they know.
The blonde immediately brushed the thought away. If she really was the leader of the Maledictus it would have been very easy for her to kill him. She seemed determined enough to put more holes on his body so she really did intend to take his life. Rein sighed. If she really is the leader she must be very strong and even if the blonde was probably older than her she could have killed him if she wanted to, even with the drug in her system. Rein heard a rumor too that the leader is a descendant of one of the founders — similar to the Decimo.
The blonde pushed the thought away and observed as some of the Decimo’s men continued to interrogate the Lycans, trying to find out who the Leader was. The Lycans were sure stubborn but it was an obvious fact that they were protecting their leader. He could see that the Hunters were looking at them as well, thinking who they wanted to acquire as promised. The Decimo did make a deal with them before hand. Rein didn’t really care so as long as it’s what the Decimo wanted. He wasn’t one to question his decisions. He knew for one that the Decimo always thinks for the better of the Vampire race so he was worthy of trust.
And, by now the Decimo should have known that the first part of the plan was a success. He would be headed here any moment.
Rein’s gaze was redirected to one of the Vampires when he yelled at the group of captured Lycans. He grabbed this Lycan from his collar and screamed at his face.
“Damn Lycan, tell me who your leader is or we will kill you all!”
“Is that the best you can do Vampire?”
He taunted as most of the cuts quickly healed. Firing several quick shots at him, he smirked as he saw one of his bullets hit it’s mark. Judging from the look on the Vampires face, he could tell he hadn’t been expecting to feel pain from the bullet.

Watching as the Lycan lost consciousness, he kept a straight face. It certainly took time before the drug began to affect her system. The blonde had his suspicions why but he was still unsure. She must have possessed a unique ability in her blood so that is why most of her cuts healed rather quickly and it slowed the drug effect a lot as well. Rein could see that the other remaining Lycans had died or lost consciousness. It was good. It meant things are going as planned.
Rein knelt down to reach the Lycan’s guns. He inspected it a little before taking out the bullets and throwing the weapon away from her so it wouldn’t be of any use to anyone. The Vampire stared at her for a moment, amused.
“I commend you, Milady. It has been awhile since anyone wounded me.” He said softly.
The blonde told several vampires to take the unconscious Lycan with the rest and they did, tightly binding her hands and feet with silver chains so she couldn’t break from them.
It was time to see if anyone of the Lycans here tonight is the leader of that notorious group.
After hours of searching for Mateo, Takeshi had finally managed to locate him in mexico where he had been in hiding for the last few months. After getting all the information that he had needed to know, within twenty-four hours, he had finished all preparations he needed and was now currently boarding a plane to Mexico.
Thinking about what he had done to Tsuna, he hated himself for not trusting Tsuna in the first place and for being easily deceived to the point where he had even called off their engagement.
Finally landing in Mexico, Takeshi wasted no time. He had found out from a reliable source that at this time Mateo was currently hiding out in the countryside in the Villa he had secretly built in case of emergencies.
It had been two days since that incident with Elysa in Egypt. The Decimo had no choice but to return to Italy as soon as he can since he can’t leave for too long. Work was piling up and without him in control of the main house things might go bad. Tsuna can’t risk that so now here he was now in his office working on a few documents.
His thoughts drifted away, worry seen on his features. He learned right after the interrogation that his rain guardian left and boarded a plane to Mexico. Tsuna wanted to catch up to him but it was too late. Yamamoto didn’t even state the reason why he left and Tsuna was afraid to ask why or contact any of his subordinates. He felt that he should give Yamamoto sometime to think about things.
Tsuna sighed. He placed the pen he held on the table and stood up. He walked to the large window overlooking a part of the manor’s large garden. All he can do now is wait and pray that Yamamoto does come back and he is safe.
Deflecting the blow with his revolver, Faust quickly took aim and fired several bullets in his direction. Gripping his twin weapons he knew he would be a difficult opponent compared to the other vampires he had just fought, it was clear to him that from the way the other vampires and looked at him in fear and had easily followed his orders, his status was quite high.
“A Vampire who doesn’t care about race. My my, that is quite rare.”
Managing to dodge and deflect most of the attacks sent his way. Jumping away from his enemy, he quickly changed the bullet cartridge to something more suitable. Unlike the old bullets he was using before, these were specially prepared for Vampires.
Swiftly, he avoided the bullets the Lycan fired by moving a few steps to the side. He charged at her with speed once more, swinging his light rapier as fast as he can. She had managed to evade most of his attacks and jumped away. Rein stayed at the spot where he stood and stared at her, unmoving and just observing. The Vampire had an amused look on his face. He was certainly enjoying this more than he expected. She’s a strong one, he thought. A well trained Lycan.
“When one who has seen the world far more than most have, one learns not to care about unnecessary things.” He stated with a smile.
The blonde attacked once more, disappearing in a second and appearing the next. The blonde delivered rapid attacks with his sword, managing to injure her with varying sizes of cuts throughout her body.
Despite how many he killed, more and more kept coming at him. He could feel himself slowly growing tired but Takeshi wouldn’t go down without a fight. Surrounded by his men who were guarding him while fighting for their own lives against their enemy, growling to out loud, he silently wondered how they would make it out of this as things were clearly not looking good for the Lycans.

Tsuna could feel it. Something wasn’t right. He couldn’t put a finger on it but he knew that something was surely going to happen later. Time is ticking and it wouldn’t take long now before they round the last remaining Lycans and he would finally meet the leader of this notorious pack of wolves.

As the Lycan removed her mask, he was finally able to see her face. And just as he expected she was breathtaking. Perhaps one of the most beautiful Lycans he had ever laid his eyes on. Such a waste, he thought to himself. She was lovely, brave, and strong. She had everything the blonde looked for in a woman. If only they didn’t meet here in the first place…
“That’s sad to hear.” He frowned. “I on the other hand given the choice whether to spare your life or not, wouldn’t kill you. I told you… I liked you.” He stared at the Lycan straight in the eye. “I’m one of those rare cases who do not care about race.” He smiled. “Unfortunately, I’m under strict orders and I’m not one who disobeys the wishes of my Lord.”
And with that the blonde disappeared from view and reappeared behind the female Lycan.
“If only we met sooner, perhaps things might end up differently.” He whispered before raising his rapier and swiftly attacked the Lycan.
Spitting out blood, she glanced up with Tsuna with one eye swollen. It had been hours since they had begun torturing her, she could feel several bones already broken. Her clothes were now torn and stained with her on blood and she wasn’t sure how much more she could take.
Unaware that Takeshi was in the other room she smirked, blood staining her teeth. “Even if I don’t make it out of here alive, the fact that I managed to break you two up is good enough for me. Too bad that coward Mateo was too afraid to finish and is now in hiding, he was supposed to do more to you when you were drugged that day.”

Tsuna’s hands were shaking, eyes wide from what he heard from Elysa. She finally admitted it and he was sure Takeshi heard it. One of the Decimo’s subordinates whispered it to him when the interrogation was in process that he was there listening outside.
Elysa and Mateo were really the one who was trying to split them up. It was all part of their plan. That day that he woke up and he couldn’t remember anything. He was drugged and Elysa let Yamamoto see Mateo and him in bed. Now everything made perfect sense. He was right Elysa and Mateo was really behind everything.
Tsuna gripped his hands. His eyes full of rage. He stepped closer to Elysa, eyeing her with hate. Tsuna inched closer to her and whispered to her ear.
“Takeshi is watching…” He said before breaking her neck, killing her instantly.
Tsuna backed away slowly; tears streamed down his face, his hands still shook. He sunk to the floor as his subordinates rushed to him asking if he was all right. He didn’t answer right away as he still in a bit of a daze.
“Finally… everything is over.” He told himself as he gripped his hands.
Scowling at the sight of Tsuna before her she spat in his direction before grinning. “How are things between you and Takeshi? I’m assuming from the look on your face that he still hates you, am I right?” Laughing madly to herself she knew she was angering him but she didn’t care.
Watching with an amused smile on her face as she watched Tsuna maintain to calm himself, she continued, “When I get out of here, I’ll be sure to kill you first tsuna for taking what should rightfully be mine!”
———
Arriving at the location where Tsuna’s men had told him to be, he wondered what was going on inside, Dressed in casual wear the consisted of black jeans and a button up shirt with a loose neck tie he entered the building.
Keeping a professional face, he was greeted with the sight of Elysa tied to a chair looking covered in several cuts and bruises. Having been informed of what would be happening he watched from behind the one way mirror as Tsuna interrogated her with questions regarding Mateo and his location.
“How long has this interrogation been going on for?”
“Assuming you do get out of here alive.” Tsuna’s eyes narrowed. He placed a hand inside his pocket, eyes never leaving the woman. Tsuna repeatedly told himself that he can’t let Elysa’s words get to him. He was here to find out the truth from her and that was what he will do. Elysa knows how to manipulate people and he can’t let her do it to him or to anyone else anymore.
“Take back what is rightfully yours? You mean Takeshi?” Tsuna laughed humorlessly. “You just tried to kill him. How can you make him like you if you just did that? How can you make him yours if you tried to take his life? I don’t see the logic in that at all… unless you really have gone mad.”
Catching sight of hunters, he was surprised to see that they had teamed up with the vampires as they were mindless brutes who hunted them both for their own greedy reasons. With the hunters now joining the fray, he could see his men were having a harder time holding their ground as many were already injured or dead.
Eyes flashing gold in irritation he knew he was fighting a losing battle, though he refused to give up just yet. Hearing multiple gunshots in the distance, he knew that at least several of his men were still managing well. Frustrated that he had allowed themselves to be caught so easily within their trap, he showed no hesitation. It was unfortunate that he didn’t have his sword with him but it made no difference. Even without his weapons, he was still a skilled fighter.

Tsuna sat silently, looking at the pocket watch with a bored expression. It wouldn’t take long now and everything will be over. He sighed. It was such a long and tiring night. All the Decimo wanted right now was to get home and rest.
His thoughts suddenly trailed on to Duke Allen. He hoped that he managed to get away from this place. He hoped he was safe. Tsuna really did want to see him again. The brunette sighed once more when his attention was redirected to one of his subordinates who were going to deliver some updates of their operation.
“News, my Lord. The number of Lycans has been reduced dramatically. We already have suspicions who the leader is.”
“Good. Tell everyone to carry on with the plan. 15 minutes before the designated time I want the last remaining Lycans rounded up. I want to meet this leader of theirs.”
The sudden ambush of vampires caught them all by surprise. Takeshi watched as vampires killed off his men. Eyes flashing gold in irritation, he should have known it was all a trap by the vampires. Catching a vampire who was aiming for a kill shot to one of his men, Takeshi wasted no time in snapping his neck before the vampire could even react. Even if they had been caught off guard, the Lycans were doing a good job of fighting back, Takeshi noted.
As he easily dodged attacks aimed at him, he easily managed to kill the weaker ones with his bare hands.
————————
Firing another bullet into an enemies head instantly killing them. Growing annoyed at how his enemies were underestimating him simply because of his disguise. Despite being clearly out matched, this didn’t hinder the Lycan at all.
Managing to defeat them all, his eyes scanned the crowd looking for Takeshi. it didn’t take him long before he spotted him not to far away fighting his own battle. However despite their best attempts of fighting back, it was clear that the vampires had an upper hand in this ambush.
“It’s surprising that they’re managing to hold our forces.” One of the Vampires said his hands folded to his chest.
“It won’t be for long.” The Decimo replied, a blank clearly bored look on his face. “They may be able to fight now but soon they’ll realize that there is no chance for them to survive this.” Tsuna took out his pocket watch and began playing with it, opening the cover and closing it. He suddenly heard a commotion happening outside the room and then someone suddenly burst in. It was a tall man. He looked different than most men inside the room. He had ragged look, a large sword, several daggers strapped on his belt, and a noticeable scar that started from his left eye all the way to the other side of his face. He was far from what most call an ordinary man and his appearance alone screams that he wasn’t a vampire but— a hunter. The man narrowed his eyes on the brunette and took out his sword. The Decimo’s men were all in a battle stance, ready to defend their leader.
Hesitating at Tsuna’s words, he quietly listened as Tsuna spoke. Without even having to turn back, he could tell from his voice that he was holding back his tears, though that wasn’t the reason why Takeshi had chosen to walk away from him. Deep down he knew that Tsuna had been right all along and that he had been manipulated by Elysa.
“There’s no need, I can take care of myself Tsuna.”
As Tsuna’s subordinate approached them he took his leave.
“Boss…” One of his subordinates asked, worried.
“I’m fine. Let’s go.” Tsuna said, moving ahead of his subordinates. He wiped the tears from his eyes. He still felt hurt but there was no use in arguing anymore. Fatigue was finally catching up to him. He felt tired. He hasn’t had a wink of sleep since yesterday. Well who would be able to sleep knowing their loved one might be killed? It really wouldn’t hurt to get at least a bit of rest before he deals with Elysa, right? He would want to be in the right mind when they finally interrogate her otherwise he might not restrain himself and kill her with one blow out of frustration. He needed a clear mind when he faced Elysa. He didn’t want to make an unnecessary move and regret it forever.
“Of course, it was an honour to meet you.”
Wondering why the Count had a pained look on his face, he wondered if he had done something to offend him in some or such. Growing suspicious of his last sentence, he wondered what he meant by that. Was something bad going to happen tonight? Or perhaps was he just over thinking things.
Dismissing the thought for now, he gave the brunette a soft smile, “I’m sure we will meet again.” With that said, he watched as the brunette moved away from him before disappearing into the crowd.

“My Lord, is something the matter?” Tsuna snapped from his thoughts as he eyed his subordinate in a little bit of shock. He had been daydreaming and daydreaming in a crucial time as well.
“Nothing. It’s nothing.” The brunette replied as gripped his gloves and placed it properly on his coat pocket. It was nearly midnight. Tsuna breathed out. He can’t say he wasn’t nervous. He was usually confident in operations like these but this one is different. He could feel like indeed the leader of the Maledictus is here. One of those guests was him. Tsuna could finally put an end to him and the council would cease to pester him.
All Tsuna is worried about right now is that if Duke Allen is going to be all right? He really didn’t want him to be involved in this mess. As much as he didn’t want to admit it he felt a special connection with him. Similar to when he was still a human, similar when he was still with Takeshi. Tsuna is reminded so much of his childhood friend in Duke Allen. He couldn’t quite explain it but it felt that way.
Reading Tsuna’s expression, Takeshi knew he was indeed telling truth. Letting out a sigh, he ran a hand through his raven hair as he watched Tsuna’s men take Elysa away. “What will happen to her now?” Even if she had just tried to kill him, he couldn’t help but worry about her since she had been there for him.
Even if Tsuna had just saved his life, he still couldn’t forgive Tsuna for betraying him. “Thanks Tsuna.” An uncomfortable silence surrounded them as neither really knew what to say to each other. Deciding to take his leave, he turned his back to the brunette.
———————
When she had finally regained consciousness, Elysa found herself in a small dark room. It didn’t take her long to find that she was now tied and bound to a chair and that this was the interrogation room.
Seeing two men walk in, she grinned to herself. If Tsuna thought she would reveal everything so easily, he was dead wrong.
“Elysa will be put on interrogation.” The brunette answered. He didn’t say anything else. An awkward silence followed. Tsuna wasn’t sure what else he should say but he heard him say thank you and then watched as Yamamoto stood up and turned around. He still hated him? Even after what Elysa did? Tsuna screamed inside his mind. He gripped his hand and called out to the rain guardian.
“Wait, Takeshi! Am I really that disgusting to you to a point that you can’t even look at me properly anymore? Even after I explained to you countless times that I never cheated on you. Why can’t you believe me even just a little?” Tsuna held back his tears. He was hurting, hurting very much. “Am I really that sinful now that all that happened in the past, our friendship, our love, and the moments we were together just simply forgotten? Are my words really that meaningless to you now?” Tsuna bit his lip. He didn’t want to say this but he knew he had to.
“I guess… I really should face the fact that… you really don’t love me anymore.” He chocked a sob, a saddened smile stretched his lips. “But I still do, more than ever, and more than anyone could ever imagine. I love you still and I’ll love you forever even if you’ve come to hate me. I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I couldn’t be a better lover to you but I swear… I’ll never stop finding the truth. I’ll prove to you one day that I never became unfaithful to you.”
Tsuna heard footsteps and saw a few of his subordinates appear from afar. It was time to leave. The brunette wiped his tears and advanced forward. He was looking down, sadness in his eyes.
“I’ll have a few of my subordinates drive you to the hotel. They’ll be your guards while we stay here.”
