I prefer the word ‘interesting’. 

I actually didn’t play much pokemon as a kid. Only Pokemon Sapphire and Yellow. I mean, I definitely logged some hours on Pokemon Snap on the N64.

That one is really cute! I like it a lot. At one point I saw that there was one named Buneary? I thought that one was cute too.

Buneary is so adorable. I just want to hug it and keep it forever.

I'm so tempted sometimes to just have a team full of cute pokemon only.

Does geodude turn into that rock-snake looking thing or is that a completely different one?

Is nidoqueen the cute thing with the horn?

You're thinking onix, and no it doesn't.  Geodude evolves into graveler, a bigger rock with arms, but geodude and onix are usually thought of together because Brock had both.

Yes it is!  It's a bit big and bulky but very cute in my opinion.

Yes, yes I did.  I was quite a fan of the earlier ones, though.  Red, blue, leaf green.  Yellow!  With the pikachu following around, so cute.  Emerald was another one of my favorites.  I'm assuming you played quite a bit too?

Woah, okay. Pokemon overload. I remember most except for the magikarp, geodude, and was it nidoqueen you said? Unless that one fish was the magikarp?

Magikarp is the useless fish one but it evolves into garados which is pretty strong.  Geodude is the rock with arms and nidoqueen is evolved from nidoran.

Nidoqueen might be my favorite right now since I'm putting so much effort into her.

Not if we count the thousands of hypothetical cats that have been crushed by it.

Oh, no, it’s still alive and kicking. Nothing can top the 250 or so in the first two batches, even if they give Charizard another evolution. Or Eevee countless more.

That poor eevee.  All those evolutions.  There was already so much pressure placed on it when there was just three and now there are like a million.

Addictions like that aren’t bad. What Pokemon do you have?

Pikachu, obviously, nidoqueen, clefairy, bulbasaur, charmander, geodude, zubat, magikarp, and pidgey I believe so far.  I'm on my way to capturing them good pokemon.  Just leveling them up is such a chore.

Emulators are very popular nowadays.  Both on the phone and the laptop.  Guilty pleasure, I have pokemon yellow on my phone right now.

They got the last two badges within a day and a half of each other so that’s pretty good progress.

I might end up being one of the guys to mess it all up, just to catalog reactions.

I don’t know I think it’s still a good time and a good social experiment, it’s way funnier than when I played it myself the first time round.

Yeah it was, I’m not really a purist but there are so many pokemon now and some of them just suck in design. Just suck.

True, but I mean the early generations had some that weren't super creative either.  The only thing I can't get over is that they just keep adding more evolutions to eevee.  That poor thing.
