tyrion losing his tongue is one of those obviously vile and ableist bits of speculation and it's absurd to see people talking about it again with zero reflection. the reasoning behind it is this surface level take about how martin torments jaime and cersei by making them lose their most precious qualities. that's not even what's going on!! it's about gender performance being invested in a rigid set of qualities. jaime's masculinity is contingent on whether or not he can perform violence well, cersei is seen as a sexual commodity until she isn't. tyrion was born with a disability that already emasculates him, the books have already thoroughly explored this theme with him and losing his tongue is not even remotely relevant to it, it's such an obviously ableist theory the way mad queen dany is equally baseless and undeniably rooted in misogyny

“He was good as dead,” Bronn said, “and his moaning was bringing them down on us. Chiggen would have done the same for me … and he was no friend, only a man I rode with. Make no mistake, dwarf. I fought for you, but I do not love you.” “It was your blade I needed,” Tyrion said, “not your love.” He dumped his armful of wood on the ground. -- Tyrion VI, A Game of Thrones
