Growing up in a neighborhood where opportunity was scarce and trouble was easy to find, Tyson faced more challenges before eighteen than most people do in a lifetime.
When life in Detroit threatened to swallow him whole, he made a bold decision: he moved to New York. To survive, he slipped into the gritty underground world of illegal street boxing. What started as a desperate way to earn a few dollars quickly revealed his raw talent. Fight after fight, he carved out a reputation as a relentless, gifted fighter with a heart that refused to quit.
Years later he returned to Detroit. Using the money he had saved, he opened his own boxing studio — a place where kids from the neighborhood could learn discipline, resilience and self-belief. He gives young people the hope and support he once fought so hard to find himself.
