Where do you draw the line?

Where do you draw the line between wanting to be kind, generous and helpful, and not wanting people to walk all over you, use you or take you for granted?

I was raised by kindhearted people, who taught me manners, kindness and most of all forgiveness.

I love who I was brought up to be, but sometimes I hate the fact that I’m so quick to forgive. It makes me realise that it gives people the incentive to either make me feel stupid or talk to me like I’m some sort of child.

It took me a long time to start loving myself, to prove to myself that I didn’t need to become someone they wanted me to be just because I loved them so much...

Therefore, here is where I think you should draw the line...

When everything you’ve worked so hard for, starts to look like it’s being overthrown by “insults”, by passive aggressive behaviour or when you start to realise that if you’re not being useful to them, you’re no longer being sought for...

This is where you draw the line, when their behaviour is getting in the way of your happiness.

My grandma taught me to forgive, that God tells us to forgive and to forget, and you do just that. You forgive and you forget, but never let it disrupt your happiness again.

@janicepelissier all i can say, you are beautiful, nice smile and you come from the land of beautiful, kind people-The Seychelles! I was there for a short time, travelled from UAE where i work to Uganda (my home country)-East Africa, and then chose Seychelles as a vacation runaway! I really enjoyed my short stay, Beau Valle, Takamaka, Eden Island-woow, wonderful coasts with free public buses!

This particularly place is called Takamaka and is found on the main island of the Seychelles called Mahe.

We are an archipelago mad up of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean.

I took this picture while I was on holiday back home during my summer holidays from university.

Definitely makes me want to go and jump back in the water.

Seychelles is one of the best places i have visited, i was there for a short time but always on a run away to look for more spectacular views, was staying at yellow petals apartment, and the people were very beautiful and kind! what a good reception we got in Sesel, Takamaka! one of the strongest vodka now i know!
