i've been ok!! i did really well in my first semester of uni and i'm surviving the second one so far so that's all i can ask for. my classes are pretty cool except for my lit analysis class where my professor really likes freud but otherwise they're pretty good. my friends and i had a fun patch-making party the other day so i get to do some sewing sometime soon too!

bowling and pizza and shit talking sounds like so much fun!! i do that with my roommates a lot, it's so rad.

lit professor is cooler now bc he did an entire 75 minutes about marxist theory (it was relevant to class bc we were doing a marxist reading of the great gatsby) it was a fun class bc i got to watch the commies get very excited and the not commies get very pissed i loved it.

i have not sewn on my patches and i still have one that needs finishing but it's ok bc i have fun things to do soon! i'm also knitting a scarf!!

and the biggest news yet is that i have a date tomorrow!! big fan of my date, i think she's very cool and has lots of big thoughts and also likes to hear my big thoughts and we talk and never actually finish any conversations bc one thing reminds us of another and we never get back to the first thing it's so fun!! we're gonna watch infinity train bc it's her favorite cartoon and i'm very excited but also a bit nervous bc i've never been on a date before so idk what to do but!! it is ok bc she's wonderful and chill and understanding and Also a very nervous person so we're just a nice matching pair and aaaaaaa

i dressed up a little bit today! i wore all velvet with my corset in kind of a "vampire dinner party" vibe, it was so fun! halloween is my most favorite holiday ever and unfortunately i have homework tonight so i'm not going out but i'm almost done with my paper and then i'll probably take an edible and watch a scary movie or two!! i'm very excited

i've missed you too grimm!! i've been pretty good. school is keeping me busy and it's kinda stressful but i'm doing well in my classes so that's good. i have my eye on a boy from my history class and i've used his interest in magc the gathering as an way in so we've hung out once and we're hanging out again next week aaaaa!! i'm making lots of friends, i've joined some clubs, overall i am thriving. also i might be getting a tattoo this weekend if we haven't submitted our tattoo form too late (we being me and my sibling)!! i'm very excited and i'm having fun!!

today at work our new supervisor accidentally misgendered me. he immediately tried to correct himself but stammered bc he didn’t want to get it wrong in that way that allies who have the right energy but don’t rlly know what they’re doing do.

I went to speak up n be like “oh they/them is fine don’t worry” but the other new supervisor just kept saying “no no let him cook” while he got more and more flustered

the poor guy eventually ended up yelling “please stop letting me cook it’s all burning” it was so fuckin funny I love these idiots they r gonna be a great addition to our already very neurodivergent & queer staff lol

I DID IT!!!!! my friend came over and we buzzed it off starting with a bigger guard than i thought i'd want and working our way down until i was happy so i think we ended with a size 5 guard? idk exactly what length but it's still definitely longer than i had envisioned but i think i'm glad i didn't go shorter.

i really like it so far!!! it's very soft and feels really nice when i run my hands over it (which is often bc i have always run my hands through my hair if i'm like nervous or bored or fidgety and then i feel that there's no hair so i gotta rub it bc my hands don't know where my hair went yet) and it's not in my face anymore and i don't have to clip it up to keep it off of my neck and it's cut down my shower time by like ten minutes!!

appearance-wise i think it looks cool! it's very strange to see my face so prominently but it's not bad and it's cool being the person with a buzzcut, yknow? i'm considering buzzing it shorter just to see what it looks like? but that's a project for like. idk a month from now. afterwards though, i think i might grow it out a little longer, maybe not chin to shoulder length like it was before, maybe more like just being able to count as fringe or maybe i'll grow a mohawk or something, idk but i'm not sure that i wanna keep it like this for very long. i'm really glad i did it though, it felt really liberating to just say "fuck it" and buzz it off. 10/10 would recommend

the walking dead is excellent!! there’s so many unintentionally funny moments & the character development is great, it really explores in depth the length that people are willing to go to to survive

however. HOWEVER. there are ofc villains. and they are very villainous. I’d probably look up some trigger warnings beforehand if u ever do decide to watch it bc I didn’t and I was very shook

another notable point is that they make clear early on that the main character is anti racist but the way they go about it is… interesting, to say the least. so there’s also that

it’s a cool show but as always there are downfalls so I’d understand not wanting to watch it tbh

thank you grimm, i am very excited!! i technically don't get a graduation ceremony bc i'm homeschooled through this program thingy and the ceremony options are both across the country in different directions so i will not attend but we're having a grad party on saturday and then there's like a blessing of the graduates the weekend after at the church my family goes to so i will be there and they will bless me unfortunately but i'll get to stand up in front of the whole congregation in my barbie pink cap and gown so that will give me a nice chuckle moment!!

what i miss most about being a chocolatier (besides the honor of gayest job title imaginable) is we had these massive bars of chocolate for tempering that were 10lbs and we had to break them into smaller chunks. by using a sledgehammer of course. i LIVED for that shit

all the other people in production HATED busting them especially at the end of the shift but i fucking loved it. give me the hammer. i can be trusted with the hammer. And everyone did in fact trust me with the hammer because again they all thought it was tedious and painful. me? i was having the time of my life. even if i had to pick up the slack for other people i would be annoyed for all of five seconds before the euphoria of getting to smash things set in. and the production areas had windows too so customers often just got to watch me beat the shit out of a massive chocolate bar. with a hammer. like a zoo animal. i was getting paid to do that. every day i miss it.
