And the thing is that Naruto has already proven his love. By accepting his feelings and taking a dominant position in this relationship Sasuke could give him something in return and show him that he deserves love without having to work so hard for it. I know many NS fans claim that bottoming would work for Sasuke as a way to give up control and relax but isn’t Naruto the one who’s always putting on an act and concealing his true feelings with a confrontational, and playful attitude? We know that Naruto admires Sasuke, wanted to be like him and thinks he’s is cool (He makes this very clear when Sakura brings up the comparison with Sai). For Naruto their rivalry is a poor excuse to get closer without showing vulnerability and admitting that he is seeking a connection. In a sexual context bottoming would help Naruto let go of these feelings, he could enjoy everything he admires about Sasuke without the bitter taste of jealousy and competition. Topping or taking the “active” role in the relationship wouldn’t come natural to him. He doesn’t chase after Sasuke because he likes it, he has no choice and suffers from always giving more than he gets in return.
