This post really speaks to me. Squidward obviously represents the middle class oppression cause by lunatic antics of the rich 1% (Spongebob). Spongebob is coming to the door to collect taxes from Squidward who can barely afford them, while Spongebob has been able to evade so many tax laws that he actually pays less than Squidward. You can see the pain on Squidward’s face as he contemplates Marxist anarchy against the wrongdoings of the Bikini Bottom State. The puzzle, then, is his shattered psyche as his morals and preconceived notions fly out the door. This is disillusionment.
