"Have you ever heard the tale of the harvest moon, wanderer? Come closer. Come! Nights like this are not meant to be faced alone. - coffs -

Long before your time, before mine, before these fields were ever tilled, the moon was pale, cold and sad as a ghost, a silent thing drifting with no story to tell... Until it fell in love with the beauty of the ocean.

A foolish love, mind you! The kind that makes even the stars bend where it should not. And so, night after night, the moon leaned a bit more down, drawn by the shimmer of the waters below, stealing all the light hidden within its waves. The moon kept hoarding and cherishing that light, and grew heavy with it as the seasons turned.

And when finally the harvest came, when the fields swelled and the air turned thick with grain, oh, she could bear it no longer: it would spill that stolen glow back upon the earth, turning shimmering gold and burning bright above the whole world! That is when the farmers leave their tools where they fall. Oh, little kid, you’ll see them if you stay, all standing shoulder to shoulder at the edges of their fields. Silent as stone, eyes fixed upward, and not a word between them as if the sky itself had caught them in its colors. And if you look long enough, yes, you’ll start to see it too. The tiny stars trembling like reflections, the dark stretching deep and endless... Not a sky above your head, but an OCEAN turned upside-down!"
