Then in “Why R U” we could see him as a stronger person who can take care of himself and others well. His chemistry with Zee Pruk Panich was out of this world

Saint and Zee aka Tutor and Fighter in „Why R U” series. I absolutely love those 2. The chemistry on and off screen is off charts. Their friendship in real life is very beautiful. Zee was there for Saint when this young boy was going through hard times.

“Why R U” is Thai BL drama. One of my absolutely favourite. I keep rewatching it. It is hot and fluffy at the same time 😂

One of my favourite BL drama couples.

I watched “Bad Romance”, “Together with me” and “Together with me: the next chapter” and now I’m waiting for “Manner of Death” 😉

I love them on screen. They have an amazing chemistry and it looks like their relationship is really good in real life. Either if it’s friendship or more than that. Whichever it is I love it ❤️ I don’t ship actors in general as it is none of my business who they want to be with 😂 I’ll just take whatever they give me 🤣 Anyway they look gorgeous together 😍 This is the appreciation post 🙃

Ji Chang Wook is one of the best actors in Korea. The first time I saw him was in drama “Healer”. After watching that I went through his filmography and watched the most of his dramas. The list is long.

“Smile Again” as Carl Laker / Donghae

- It’s a family drama. Ji Chang Wook is very young and cute here. It has total 159 episodes for about 30 minutes each. It is packed with characters you want to punch in the face most of the time and it can easily get you frustrated, especially the main villain 🤣 The main subjects are running a hotel and cooking (You gonna be expert in kimchi after watching it 😂)

Even though it was frustrating it was a good drama to watch.

“Warior Baek Dong Soo” as Baek Dong Soo

- It’s a historical drama. The first few episodes are happening in the past when main characters are still children so we see Ji Chang Wook in his role in about 4th or 5th episode.

The most important part of this drama is friendship of 2 main characters. It was the most enjoyable part. Also soundtrack is really good.

What I disliked was romance. It was lacking. I wish they skipped it.

“Bachelor’s Vegetable Store” as Han Tae Yang

- At first I thought it is going to be more like comedy or very light drama but after watching the first episode I knew it is going to be one of those heavy stories.

The first few episodes are in the childhood years. What happens then is very important to the whole storyline when main characters are adults.

This drama has many sad and heartbreaking moments but also happy ones about not giving up because of the obstacles.

I wasn’t fan of romance in this one

“Five Fingers” as Yoo Inha

- You could say that Ji Chang Wook is second lead here but also a villain. His role is different of the most dramas he is in, wher he is nice and righteous human being. It’s the opposite here. His character is more complex than just being villain. It’s more like he is very angry and also very emotional.

First few episodes are childhood years. The kid that acted as young Inha was amazing then Ji Chang Wook nailed the adult version. You had no doubt it’s the same character.

The main female lead was played by Jin Se Yun and I’m not very fond of her acting. Also I don’t think her character brought any depth to the series.

Apart from that drama is very good. It has 30 episodes and has many plot twist. Definitely worth watching.

“Empress Ki” as Emperor Ta Hwan

“Healer” as Park Bong Soo

- It is more of an action drama with cool main lead. I loved all the running on the rooftops etc 😂

It has many good characters and also some mystery to be solved.

I love the love the love story in this one. One of the cutest in Kdrama

“The Whirlwind Girl 2”

- It’s a Chinese drama so Ji Chang Wook voice was dubbed. Fortunately dubbing was good and we could still enjoy his acting skills there as he can act even with his eyes only 😂

This drama is a sequel. I think it disliked by many fans as the actress from the first season was replaced with different for the second one. Also they didn’t solve a storyline of male lead from the first season as he was absent in the second one and there is no news on the third.

I personally liked the girl who was with Ji Chang Wook in second season. They looked good together. His character wasn’t in the first season and because of the absence of the guy from the first one, he was the main lead.

Story is not that spectacular but it was enjoyable and Wookie was hot in this drama. Martial Arts coach 😉

I liked the music.

One of the biggest minuses was too many flashbacks. To the point that 2 last episodes were basically one huge flashback of the whole series.

“The K2”

- Proper action drama. Shooting, breaking windows, fist fights etc

Ji Chang Wook is very fit here and shows as some nice skills.

I liked the storyline of the main villain in this drama. She had a great chemistry with Wookie.

Background music was good to.

I didn’t like the romance. I think Yoona’s character was boring and really annoying. However there is many people who loved it.

“Suspicious Partner”

- I love the drama and the whole cast. Characters and storyline is really good.

It is legal drama and we have some mystery to be solved.

Romance is also good.

I don’t watch it anymore as toxic Nam Ji Hyun and Ju Chang Wook shippers put me off so atm I can’t enjoy it as I used to.

I mean it’s ok to like the couple in the drama but forcing actors to be together in real life is a whole different story. If they were together that’s great but fans spreading unconfirmed rumours just because they blindly believe in their ship is not right. Like pushing into people’s face the rumours about their marriage just because they saw video on YouTube

“Melting me softly” as Ma Dongchan

- I’ve read many people call this drama disaster. I personally loved it.

I’ve been born in mid 80s and my childhood and some of teen years were through 90s.

The way they showed how characters jumped 20 years from 1999 to 2019 was just great. I remember well how life was back then and all those little thing we witnessed in this drama were so accurate

This is music video I watched because I like actors starring in it (New Thitipoom and Tong Tong Kitsakorn Kanogtorn) I really enjoyed it. Song is great. The artist is young Thai singer Pangkwan. It is worth checking it out. Clip has English subtitles so there is no trouble in understanding the lyrics.

I drew a scene randomly chosen from this music video. It took me a whole day to complete the drawing but it’s finally done.

Newest drawing. This time my subject was Yoon Si Yoon @moa_ent I only discovered him recently as I started watching his new drama “Train”. First episode was enough to appreciate his amazing acting skills. I decided to check his other work. I watched “Hit the top”. I loved character he played there. I loved the drama even though time travel plot didn’t make sense at all 😂 If anyone wants to see it. Drama is light and funny and has many great characters. Chemistry between the actors is great too. Just don’t try to find the logic in time travel part as it’s not there 😂 This drawing is my appreciation of this talented human being.

One of my favourite couples in Thai BL universe. Pete and Ae from „ Love by Chance”. They were so freaking adorable that I just couldn’t resist to draw them 😊

I also love Saint’s new drama “Why r u”. I love Fighter and Tutor equally to Pete and Ae 🙃

Love by chance is a Thai drama about boys love. Pete and Ae accidentally meet each other on the street and start to cross paths since then. Pete is quiet, shy boy. He is gay and he is bullied by one guy who is blackmailing Pete that he will reveal his secret to his mother. Ae starts to appear in the moments to save Pete. They start a friendship which blooms into something more.

This drama also show few other couples BL and straight.

Seriously this drama is so cute. The chemistry is amazing and very believable. It is loaded with sweet moments. I just adore the characters.

If you are fan of BL and didn’t see it yet than it’s a must watch :)

Dramas that I’ve watched and would recommend

Dramaworld (2016) as Seung-woo

- it is a very short drama about girl who was addicted to kdramas and for some reason was dragged inside dramaworld wher she meets characters of her favourite shows. Woo Do Hwan has a supporting role in there.

This drama is not one of the best in my opinion but it only has few episodes for about 10 minutes each. Lead actress is not Korean. Drama is so short that even if you don’t like it you won’t feel that you wasted your time. It is annoying at certain moments but also funny.

Save Me (2017) as Suk Dong-cheol

- it’s a very fast paced drama about cult. It keeps you out of breath until the very end. Woo Do Hwan has one of the major roles here and I loved his character.

There is many great actors and the whole cast did a great job.

Mad Dog (2017) as Kim Min-joon

- It’s a drama about team that deals with insurance scammers. It sort of give a feeling of criminal drama and Woo Do Hwan character here is a must see. He has second major role here.

Tempted (2018) also known as The Great Seducer as Kwon Si-hyun

- This drama is based on a novel Les Liaisons dangereuses. I haven’t read the original story but i’ve seen previous movie adaptation Cruel Intentions so I sort of knew what the drama is about. When I started watching I didn’t know it is an adaptation of the novel but it had that vibe of “Cruel Intentions” so I’ve checked it and I was right that both were based on the same book. Drama however has some major differences compared to the movie which I actually liked.

Woo Do Hwan is the main lead. The female lead (Joy) was a bit stiff but got better in later episodes. Second lead actress Moon Ga-young did a great job here.

My Country: The New Age (2019) as Nam Sun-ho

- This is a historical drama where the main topics are friendship and politics. It is one of the most beautiful friendship stories. There is also a romance plot but it is secondary to 2 main leads friendship. Woo Do Hwan is one of 2 main leads

The King: Eternal Monarch (2020) as Jo Eun-Sup / Jo Young

- It is a fantasy drama about parallel universes with Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun as the lead actors. Some people think this drama was hard to understand I personally think it was quite easy to follow. I enjoyed the story line. Didn’t care much about the romance but enjoyed the overall chemistry between the cast.

Woo Do Hwan was one of the main cast. He had a double role and he nailed it. Both characters where very different. He ended up stealing the spotlight and became a fan favourite :)

Hi everyone. Today I would like to tell you about kdrama called “Empress Ki”. First of all, it is one of my all-time favourites. I sort of have a love-hate relationship with it. The main reason I’ve decided to watch it was Ji Chang Wook. It was the time when I just discovered him and was watching all of his dramas one by one. I started with dramas on Netflix, and Empress Ki was the last of those that I watched. I think it was because it had so many episodes. Most kdramas have around 16 episodes where “Empress Ki” has 51. So it was long, but it also meant that I could watch Ji Chang Wook longer, so I dived into the first episode. Right after watching it, I wanted to know what will happen next, so I continued. I think I’ve spent about three days and nights to complete it. I didn’t go to sleep until I finished all episodes.

I’m not going to talk much about the plot to avoid spoilers. Long story short. It is a drama about a girl named Ki Seung Nyang and how she became an Empress of Yuan dynasty from being just a slave. This drama is full of emotions. Love, hate, betrayal, fear, fight for survival, desperation. It is a historical drama, but at the same time, it isn’t. By historical I mean it was happening a few hundred years ago and it has some characters that existed in real life including Empress Ki. However, almost everything what is happening is fictional. There might be a few events that occurred in reality. However, even those were changed and placed within the storyline with mixed up order. I would not recommend learning history from this drama. We can categorise it as a work of fiction.

We also get an epic love story (a triangle, or rectangle or I don’t know, I got lost). Main characters are Ki Seung Nyang (Ha Ji Won), Emperor of Yuan Ta Hwan (Ji Chang Wook) and King of Goryeo Wang Yoo (Joo Jin Mo). The main love triangle within the storyline is between those three characters. So of course, throughout the drama, we are wondering who will she choose. I must admit that I’m probably biased if it comes to Ji Chang Wook and his performance in this drama as I was team Emperor all the way through. His portrayal of Ta Hwan completely overshadowed character of Wang Yoo. Because of that, King seemed to be boring. I disliked his character but not only because of that but also because he had some character traits that I could not stand. I didn’t notice any character development. I wanted to skip his storyline sometimes, but I didn’t do it. In comparison, the Emperor’s character development was significant. He started as someone you want to punch in the face and then go through all sort of stages. Throughout the drama, we learn a lot about the emperor and why he acts in specific ways. I can say without any doubts that the role of Ta Hwan was Ji Chang Wook’s best performance. I like all his dramas and his acting there but “Empress Ki” was just on another level. I just can’t imagine anyone else in this role.

“Empress Ki” also has many interesting supporting characters. There are dramas where I just don’t care about those as they are either dull or don’t bring anything into the story. In “Empress Ki” this is not the case. We are introduced to many characters that are important to the story. They are all different with different traits. We also get high-level actors that portray them and their skills make those characters unforgettable.

Another thing that I love in this drama is the soundtrack. Music brings watching experience to an even higher level. Ji Chang Wook himself sings one of the songs. It is called “To he Butterfly”. It Emperor’s song and it matches his character perfectly. It became one of my all-time favourite songs.

In conclusion, “Empress Ki” is one of those dramas that stay with you. It’s been many months, but I still can’t get over it. Some parts are dragging, especially ones that involve Wang Yoo storyline but it doesn’t happen often. It’s probably I didn’t like his character. The entire drama was an emotional roller coaster. It is a classic an must watch even for those who don’t like historical dramas. I’m recommending it to everyone, so don’t hesitate.
