i also think that mccallum's very grounded acting style extends beyond tmfu too in a way that is really interesting to watch; like in sapphire and steel joanna lumley is very much acting like she is in a sci-fi program (not in a hammy way to be clear in a way that feels very dramatically interesting given the way the show was produced but that's a sidebar) whereas mccallum feels very much like he was dropped into the narrative (which is kinda meta within itself the way sapphire and steel just show up places)

It is a crime that someone stopped filming here, he is so cute and I really want to know where he was going with this. I do recall the bit in Bk 1 where Athena materializes and grabs Achilles by the hair and they stand together and have a short conversation, but I want to know if the line he's about to quote is from Athena or Achilles! And I want to hear if he says it in Greek, which I would not put past him! And I want to know where he was going with it! Was there a stenographer at this event, I wonder? Audio recording? I want to hear all of his remarks!
