People have this weird belief that if you're critical of a system or tradition, then it must be because you failed to live up to that system or tradition. The idea of having a principled stance, regardless of whether or not *you* personally benefit from society accepting that stance, is foreign to so many people. And this belief is really fucking important for and beneficial to the elites of this country. If you can get the masses to equate criticizing you and the institutions you control with abject personal failure, congratulations, you've just made yourself immune to accountability

Any tips for studying and to survive university?

idk about studying bc im the worst studier of all time, but to survive uni:

1. self-care

2. don’t ever compare yourself to others!!! not only is it toxic, but it literally does u no good. everyone is so different that it’s useless

3. ppl arent successful bc theyre smart. there’s really no such thing as “smart.” ppl r successful bc they work hard… or bc of their privilege. if you dont get that math problem, it’s not because youre dumb. it’s because you don’t have expensive private education or tutoring or years of fancy training drilling into you how to think. theres really no good way to separate “intelligence” with SES.
