Thor (kna): "Among the Norse gods in this series, Thor is for once!! The smart one. He grew up with Balder and Loki (he and Balder are canonically still brothers iirc but it’s not really mentioned) and iirc he’s the only one of the gods at the high school who chose to be there bc he was worried about his friends being dumbasses! Extremely based Thor. Like I said he’s the voice of reason and intelligence in the trio and is more of a minor character bc he’s not a love interest in the game. He canonically doesn’t like snakes (probably knows about his fate with Jorm) and he’s got a little lightning bolt in his undercut!"

i GROSSLY underestimated how motivated the stargate fandom would be. I thought stargate thor would be knocked out of the tournament in round one. i have not seen stargate but it doesn't seem like he's central to the narrative at all. AND YET. IT HAS BEEN TWO DAYS SINCE I POSTED THE MOST RECENT POLLS. AND THE STARGATE ONE HAS MORE VOTES THAN THE FINALS TO THE LOKI TOURNAMENT??

Gow thor has some of the best writing for a character with a limited screentime. When he's up, the tension in the scene can easily escalate, considering his past actions. His abusive dynamic with Odin gives points as well, because Thor doesn't want any of this, he wants to be a good father for Sif and Thrud, but Odin keeps dragging him back to dirty his hands so he doesn't have to do it himself. And the performance by ryan hurst was absolutely top notch. Propaganda for Thor (SG-1)

He's the Supremecommander of the Asgard fleet, and a member of the Agard Council, and a good friend of SG-1. You could say he has a kind of a soft-spot for the team, even if they tend to eat his favourite yellow nutrition cubes (okay it was one time, and Sam didn't know, the yellow one was his favourite). He's helped save Earth a number of times, and is not above asking SG-1 for help as well, if less sophisticated methods are required to deal with a problem (the problem being The Replicators, the bane of two galaxies).

One of Thor's and the Asgard Council's last actions before their mass suicide in order to destroy the Replicators, was to bestow the entierty of the Asgard database upon SG-1.
