"Finding common ground and compromise... That's how we better our society!"
Cecile Thuy | Ultimate Promoter 🐬 🇻🇳
She may not be at the forefront of change, but Cecile sure is driving it from behind. The grants the Ultimate Promoter have negotiated for her charter has returned 27.3 million dollars back to the nation, solidifying herself as a rising figure in the field of non-profit work. When she's not traveling across the country to meet and speak with fellow pioneers, she's volunteering at local animal shelters, participating in environmental cleanups, and attending her local pilates classes!
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 148 lbs
Age: 21
DOB: February 20

Dislikes: Procrastination, Complacency

a very 'big sister' type character. more design and backstory notes underneath...
Design Notes:
Her animal motif is a dolphin! She's very tall and elegant-looking with a very flowy skirt
Said skirt has a water splash design to it!
She's a very cheeky character! Whenever she's teasing you, she winks with her golden eye, and if she's teasing you while being honest she winks with her black eye.
lying...
Her hair is put up into a very very long fluffy ponytail! The ends split into two, a sort of "tail" if you will. There are some weird shorter bits at the top of her ponytail. It's blue cuz it makes her look like she has waves!
Her white collared shirt has a dolphin, seashell, and coral embroidered on it!
She wears a jade bracelet and a silver locket! Its design is the photo in the original photo, but it's pretty subject to change, as I didn't do tooo much research into the cultural background of it... But basically, the locket would function as a sort of "fidget" in her character sprites. Why is it so important, hmmm...
She also has golden tassel earrings!
Cecile has heels. What a queen
Backstory Notes:
Similarly to Damon, Cecile had (at most) a middle class upbringing
Valedictorian, straight As, insane extracurriculars... the embodiment of giftedness, o lord
Got involved with social and environmental causes in high school! Definitely volunteered a crap ton
Probably was going to college and working full time before being invited to Eden's Academy
Has a little brother (whose a teenager) and some other younger siblings! Cecile loves her family a lot.
Strangely, Cecile has been on her own since she was 18... I wonder what's up with that!
"Hey, Cecil. I know we haven't really talked since our situation got revealed, but I wanna make sure you know that I'm thankful you're around. Just be safe yeah?"
"Hello, Ozzie. Thank you- I really appreciate hearing that from you. It helps to know I'm doing something right."

"What is your perspective and life philosophy? I kinda did take you to be a bit cynical."

Cynical, sure. I'll admit to that, I feel like you have to be somewhat cynical to get anywhere in life. You have to have some doubt in others and if you don't, you're kidding yourself. This question is too open ended, so I can't tell if you're talking about politically, religiously or about the schools of philosophy. I will say though that I consider myself to be more pragmatic, if that counts as anything.
"Oooh, so we're getting into specifics here! Why not philosophically? Like... What do you think the meaning of life is? Fun party questions like those!"
The Ultimate Promoter looks starry-eyed at you, pen and notepad on the ready!
Does there really need to be a set reason? Is there a point to finding the answer to that? No. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. There's way better things to focus in our day to day life. Do you believe there's a set reason?
"In the grand scheme of things, maybe not. But I'm asking you what you think. We may only be but a small grain in the sands of time, but I don't think you're so pressed for time that you can't spare a minute or two to think it over. It's an open-ended question, one I asked to get to know you better! There's no way that doesn't matter at all."
"A question to my question... Hmm- wait, hey!" Pout. "Don't misconstrue my question! I didn't say at all that there was a set meaning to life... butifIweretoanswertruthfullyandhonestlyprobablymostdefinitelynot. I think my meaning to living is striving to do my best to make the world a better place before I leave it, though!" 🐬 ☆
"To ask a moderately-invasive question to the question you asked me to the question I asked you, do you really think getting to know people is a poor use of time...?" ;^;
I am telling you what I think. But sure, that's what everyone should be doing in the first place, which they don't. But anyways, to answer your question about people, I don't see why it really matters? I don't see why I need to actively want to get to know more people. So yes, for the most part. Why? Do you just love people?
"I love talking to people! A huge part of nonprofit work is convincing people your cause is worthy to invest in, and that often means making connections with people! Whether that be over years, months, days, or even one minute... That singular 'spark' can impact someone! Finding out what's important to someone... I love finding that 'thread' between us. If I hated that part of the job, I wouldn't be where I'm at!"
"And of course it matters!" She makes this face --> >:L. "To be able to learn from each other is the best thing we can offer as fellow human beings! The right perspective can flip your understanding of some things, you know!"
I already understand people. That's one of the reasons I don't go out and interact with them constantly. I get enough interactions with people through debate, because of that I already see various perspectives. It really comes down to what I prefer to do in my freetime. I think it's great you get people to donate to your cause, it's furthering the nation. But is that the only reason you reach out to people? To gain profit? If that's the case and you remove that aspect of profit, would you still go out and put yourself out there?
"Profit, grants, and donations are definitely a huge part of what enables our work, but it would be wrong to say that's all I strive for. Convincing people to 'invest' can mean more than just that- for instance, recruiting talent, partnering with other nonprofit organizations, and mobilizing volunteers depending on the community's needs. You're only talking to me right now, but there are way more people involved in this machine keeping things running smoothly. My colleagues, for one, all work different departments and hold different titles- from stuff like 'Advocacy Director' to 'Grassroots organizer'- they handle pretty much everything else. Bookkeeping, managing, PR, organizing, tech, they actually make things happen. The point is, I just happened to find that this is what I'm good at, and what I can do to help our charter fulfill its mission."
"With that out of the way- of course I'd still put myself out there! I didn't expect I'd become the Ultimate Promoter. If I hadn't, I'd bet you I would still be volunteering whenever I could or staying updated on whatever was happening in my city. That part of me hasn't gone away! Does that help answer your question?" Although I do wonder if you talk to people outside of arguing your point...? ^^
"ALCOHOL was being SERVED at this party! I objected to it being served around children in the first place, and I was overruled, and look where THAT brought us!" 🐬
