These guys are absolute heroes in their efforts to help the ones that most wouldn’t save or give a second chance to. Thank you for all that you do and I absolutely will be back again. Please help my kitty Mikoto 🐾

As you may or may not know my 8-years-old cat Mikoto who has chronic kidney disease (CKD) had two major surgeries last month (see this post for more details). 

First some news…

Mikoto is back home after a long long stay at the clinic.

She is slowly recovering from her surgeries. She was very weak when I got her back. 

Mikoto one week after her second surgery (we sewed her a little body so she doesn’t pull on her stitches). So cute, isn’t she? 😊 

I’m taking care of her all day long. We have been able to stabilize her CKD by doing subcutaneous fluid therapy. I also got her some natural plant-based supplements to help her kidneys. I’m doing anything in my power to help her get better.

Thanks to your precious help I got to pay most of the bills so far 🙏

But Mikoto and I still need help to pay off all of the bills.

So far I still have more than $3396 to finish paying off her surgery bills (you can check gofundme for more info). 

I spent all my savings on her and I don’t have anything left.

It honestly feels great to be at a place personally where I feel completely comfortable going somewhere without makeup and feeling confident in myself. I was always quick to put on makeup before leaving my home because I was afraid I’d be judged for what I looked like without it. That thought worsened when a fan at a con asked when IDK would be returning to her booth and I responded with “that’s me” (not wearing any makeup). His mouth dropped open and he just stared and then walked away. He didn’t come back. It made me feel awful about myself and gave me a complex for a long time. I feel so good knowing that I’m in a place where I’ve moved past that kind of negativity. You’ve gotta love yourself first.

The mentality Ivy talks about here - the person who rejected her because she  wasn't wearing make up - is unfortunately prevalent.  

Don't fool yourself into thinking its ‘only men’ or ‘only gamers’ - its not. Statements (from women) such as ‘I am failure as a girl becuase I don’t wear makeup’ `you`re not trying\you`re a slob becuase you don`t wear makeup` are common.

I noticed the recent Tomb Raider rebooted game box, where the picture has Croft stranded on an island, fightng for survival against numerous bad guys, grimy, bandaging herself from yet another wound, etc - and she is clearly wearing makeup - but protrayed as if this is her without it.

I think many childish men don't realises what is the effect of makeup and what is a real facial structure.

Also many women fool themselves of a woman they idolise and believe is ‘naturally beautiful’; yet they see her clearly wearing makeup in a picture labelled ‘here she goes without makeup’ and they continue to say ‘I wish I could be naturally beautiful like her’ - they're only looking at her makeup not her real features either.

Do not think there is not such a thing as natural beauty - most girls are fooling themselves that they are ‘ugly without their makeup, the magic’s in the makeup’. The usual girl is quite beautiful; including when she doesn't wear makeup - a girl-next-door look rather than glammed-up-for-a-night-out look; society needs to appreciate that this is beautiful too.
