Great project we worked on @Umake_Media (umake.ca) For La Fourchette & Plux.5, we cut heaps of fabric for this project with our laser Cutter, our laser can cut rolls and rolls of conituous material by the way ;) You cvan go check out this installation until October 18 in Petit Champlain Quebec City.

Packaging is simple with the laser!

Laser cutting technology is the best option to make your custom packaging, you can do trials, you can make only one, you can make 100, 1000, 10 000 units or a few different packs for a fraction of the price you would pay when going to the printer's shop!

You can then silkscreen print your boxes or have them printed prior laser cutting them. The laser cutter can cut any materials, any papers, cardboards, foam, leather, silk, plastic, wood, fabrics...anything to help you design an original or simple pack for your product. So much easier than to pay a print shop thousands of dollars and be stuck with loads of boxes on your shelves, its a good way to try your products to market before you go too deep in the making.

And this piece (down) was entirely done by our laser cutter, the owl, the base, the packaging, the tag...a finished product, ready for store in just a few minutes and no glue, no nails, nothing was used to make this except one machine, our laser, its all about designing a one-step product, less labor involve in the making more capital comes back to the designer so more product designs comes out of his workshop! Umake made the Golden and Pink tickets and also we made a pretty cool trophy for the Annual Afefest car race happening this week end in New Jersey! If you don't have your ticket yet you still have time to get yours! These tickets are in gold miror acrylic and pink mirror acrylic, they come with a chain you wear it as a necklace all week end, harder to lose. The trophy was laser cut and engraved at our shop.

A smaller order (cause we do small, one off, prototypes, student projects...) pretty little wood medals for the Annual Croquet Tournament at gorgeous Parc Laurier in Montreal. those were designed at our studio, laser engraved and laser cut in a few hours, the day of their tournament (yes, we do last minute orders) They were a success and the teams were very happy with them, the winners were more then happy and the...less winners...they will get theirs next year :)

Another project that we are very proud of, the façade of the counter at restaurant Poulet Cent Façons located in Laval, QC, the engraving was huge, and took 5 hours!!! They were very happy, we were very happy, if you feel like eating some chicken go visit them, have a look at the counter, I'm sure you will be happy too. Good food, beautiful counter ;)

Let's start with our first post!

A pretty amazing installation by Châssis (François Leblanc and his colleagues) for the 15th International Garden Festival at Jardin de Métis in Quebec, Canada. This project is a success and can be seen all summer long.

We cut about 500 wood pieces!!! for this projects, in just a few days, all pieces had different angles, different sizes, different shapes, tricky installation but what a great result. Congratulation to the amazing designers!

I'm Marie, I am co-founder of Umake Online Factory. I will be sharing some projects we worked on with our clients and some that we are and will be working on.
