Important update

I think it’s time for an update as far as my ( lack of ) activity here. When I first started my new job ( which is rotating 12 hour shifts ), I had convinced myself that my muses would stick around the same way they had before, even if they’d be quiet at the time. After several months, it’s finally come to my realization that trying to keep up with tumblr’s updates and changes while dealing with fickle muses isn’t going to work. 

HOWEVER. I still want to roleplay with you guys. I still want to work on replies here and there in the future from here and my other  blog ( which I will be reblogging this from as well. ) The main thing, though, is that after I eventually get out the replies I want to continue, I will be moving likely 90% of my activity as far as plotting and actually roleplaying to discord. I’ll be using tumblr mainly for lurking and keeping my muses page up because I genuinely don’t have the time or drive to move everything to docs. I’m not even certain how the process works on discord, so those that do still want to pursue interactions with me, please be patient. I have extremely limited free time on days I work, and other things to attend to on my off days.

TLDR; I’ll be doing a few replies ( eventually, I must stress ) and then moving myself to discord.

HAD SOMEONE ELSE BEEN PRESENT,    anyone who could have separated them before it got out of hand,    then maybe the outburst could have been avoided.     much to his own distress,   the library was  not  all that popular of a hangout once classes were  finished  for the day.   many would study within their own dorms,    or  had other activities to attend.    it could not have been more unlucky that this one seemed to have nothing  better  to do than come  &  push his buttons.   as if he would choose to study,    riddle could decide with certainty that he’d  likely  come there to try and seek him out to cause issue in the first place.    perhaps he should have found a better place to hide himself when it came to studying,   pick a  corner  that was out of sight  —  as if the other wouldn’t seek him out regardless.  hiding would only  prove  that he was bothered by his teasing;   not that his reactions didn’t give way to that enough,   but there was still  some  pride in his chest that he wasn’t completely at his mercy.  

eyes narrow significantly at the statement,  knowing that he has  choice  words for him  —   though the  longer  he holds himself together,   the more  bored  he could inevitably make him.   that was his best bet for getting rid of him,   making him  bored  with his reactions,    then hopefully he would leave.   on the other hand,  continuing to  bottle  it up had him on the brink of exploding,   chewing his bottom lip with anticipation as he watches floyd’s next move.   the ease he can grab the book with doesn’t bring any shock,   but a  whole  lot of anger  —  watching as he dangles it in front of him tauntingly.   he’d managed to hold on for this long,   but it was  over  the moment he had asked if he  wanted  the book.   of course he wanted it!  that much was without question,    he’d been  trying  to reach that book for the last fifteen minutes with his eyes bearing into his back.   face quick to heat up,   it almost  looked  as if he was embarrassed   —   but the quick growing intensity would imply otherwise.   it wasn’t long before he was boiling up to the ears,   shouting,   ❝   WHAT DO YOU THINK?   ❞    clenching his fists tightly at his sides,    he  knows  better than to start a fight in the middle of the library;   no matter how it was becoming   undeniably  tempting.   

            Unwise, flirting with danger, asking for punishment— all of those and more could be said about Floyd and his...questioning interactions with Rosehearts. It was a statement in itself that the redhead had next to no issues in dealing with his twin, but would by far rather go the opposite way when even glimpsing Floyd from a half campus length away. However, he’d been unfortunately cornered in a place that didn’t even usually have a teacher or attendant. Floyd was smart and uncannily observant, it was just only when he wanted to be, and that was usually for nefarious reasons. He can see Riddle is barely holding on even before his touch lingers on the spine of the book, that delicious red of rage lying just beneath the surface of pale skin.

             The moray can see the exact moment the young housewarden finally snaps, and it’s followed by deep scarlet quickly eating away at ivory until his entire face is that telltale red. The smug little smirk on his face erupts into a full blown smirk at having managed to pull this ( rightfully earned ) tantrum yet again. For all of Riddle’s rage, Floyd appears calm and placid despite the awful screech from his victim. It’s cute, in a wholly weird way, how his little fists are balled so tightly that his knuckles have gone white— all while he rests the book against his shoulder, still just out of reach unless the other were to jump for it. Ah, but he doesn’t have to. Floyd takes a half step forward and leans down, placing his hand over Riddle’s mouth and mocking a ‘shhh’ notion. “ Did shorty forget that this is the library? Inside voices only~ ” A low chuckle follows his words, taunting and just wanting to see how far he could bait the other into misbehaving.

Attempts were made. Precautions considered. Even a bit of sympathy for the well known plight of Ignihyde’s resident recluse of a housewarden. But still. Nothing would prevent the sudden blue screening jolt he displayed at the feeling of a touch against his shoulder. Unexpected and unwelcome, the only reason he hadn’t let our a sudden shriek was thanks to the miracle of his voice trapping itself firmly within his throat, refusing to come out. Instead, something along the lines of a silent loss of breath. Reminiscent of a dying squeak toy.

“Wh–!?” For a moment, the housewarden nearly deactivated. Almost completely resigned himself to a heart attack despite how much he’d been used to being surprised by people insisting on coming out of his blind spot to get his attention. But the moment the phone screen flashed right into his line of sight, memory clicked. Pieces of information fell into place one by one until a name flashed across his mind’s space. Celty. Right, right– his classmate for the past few years. The only person here who exclusively held conversations through text. With everyone. Right– right no need to freak out Idia. Calm the hell down.

“Ah–!” A quick scan of the text just about kicked him into high gear. Right! The event. He’d almost forgotten because it also happened to be raid night. He was going to take Muscle Red and a few others through P1S first phase today– not a problem though. He could easily have it running before they gathered. No big deal. “Yeah I didn’t– I didn’t forget. Just a bit distracted– jeez…have you ever thought about putting text to voice on your phone…?

I don’t know if I’m gonna survive another heart attack before graduation…”

             Where some would likely get some form amusement from such a comical reaction, Celty had always done her best to work around his... shortcomings. As someone who was unwilling to use her voice, his aversion to touch or general surprises wasn’t weird to her— it was simply Idia. It was why she usually made herself prepared for those moments she had no other real way of getting his attention when he was focused on fleeing the scene as quickly as humanly possible.

            It’s a brief exchange of words, solely on his part of course, before she’s tapping on her phone again.〖 I was just checking because you seemed distracted recently. 〗In truth, he was likely working on another project of his, tucked away unless he needed something from elsewhere in the dorm— but she knew how bummed he’d be if he missed the limited gear set. Like an afterthought, she erases the previous message and types out another one.〖 Ah, I haven’t... I’m still getting used to some of the features. Technology isn’t as common where I’m from. I probably could have text you too... Sorry. 〗

            An awkward, apologetic smile lingers on her lips for a few seconds. She wasn’t always the brightest, especially when she was still not fully accustomed to using her phone for anything but the planner and notepad app. Like her housewarden, she tended to be rather...reluctant to mingle with others. Perhaps she could pull together something that could emulate her voice before she graduated, but this had long since been her normal method of conversation. 

             〖 Are you going back to the dorm for lunch? You’re not about to skip half the day again, are you? 〗

NOT EVEN RIDDLE COULD EXPLAIN THE FIXATION,   floyd often got  bored  of everything within mere minutes.   just why he would hold an  interest  in teasing him all of the time was a mystery  —  though,   undoubtedly,  some could point out that it could be traced back to his  reactions  that he would give each time without fail.    a little  too easy  to rile up,   he made sure that each of the other’s jokes always got an over the top reaction.   if he didn’t go along with it,   then he might not have had to deal with the teasing so much;   his short  tempter  always got the best of him when it came to his classmate’s mockery.   had it been any ordinary student,   he would have been  sure  to make them pay for it  —  but it was  tricky  with someone who was just as talented as himself. 

in your dreams,   he bit back.   there was a slim chance of him actually  willingly  asking for help from someone taller than him.   with his luck,   he would ask nicely,   just to  be brought to immediate regret.   riddle learned very quickly that neither of the twins were the type that you could  trust  with a favor.   not only would they want repayment,    but they would be sure to make it  painful.    his shoulders stiffened when he was  told  to show him just how well he can handle himself,   knowing he couldn’t  possibly  pull up a stool with floyd’s eyes on him.   irritation crossed his features,   looking down at the ground.   if he could  just  stand on his toes,    reaching  up for the book as far as he could …  his hand would still fall a few inches short.   gritting his teeth,   his face was beginning to turn red,   with anger  —  plenty of  anger  for the fact that he was being teased so shamelessly.    ❝   just grab what  you  need and go.    ❞    it’s forced,   with his arms  crossed  over his chest;   his fingers digging into the fabrics of his blazer.     ❝   it’s not your  concern  whether or not i can handle myself,   so i don’t see why you’re being a  pain  about it.   ❞

             Floyd always presented the young Heartslabyul warden with a tricky predicament— his mood was far harder to predict than the redhead’s tempter, and he also had a means of avoiding his ‘collar’ with his own bit of magic that was just as tricky and fickle as his moods. He was certain that Riddle knew he was after the dramatic reactions that very few could, or dared to, reel in from him. There was just something so delightfully fascinating when his entire face would flush a deep crimson with anger ...and he knew he wasn’t far from achieving that again with the irritation of the other so clearly displayed. This wasn’t even the first time he had pulled a similar stunt, but this time he was determined to stay around until Riddle caved.

             One could wonder how his grin could become even wider, but it does when his prey redirects his immediate focus on the ground in front of his shoes. Perhaps he would be even more entertained if he finally pushed the housewarden to the point of verbally cursing him like Floyd imagined he was doing at that very moment. What would it feel like? An ultimate triumph? Or would it inadvertently kill the vibe and good mood this twin was in? A low chuckle of amusement falls from his lips at the first sign of the vibrant red invading pale skin. “ Because it’s fuuun~ ” And he steps forward, reaching out and daring to tip the shorter boy’s chin up to look him in his sadistic face. Just as quickly as the touch was there, it was gone as the moray walks closer to the shelf. A pause is given before he reaches for the exact book that Riddle had been eyeing, turning back to him with the return of a wide, toothy grin. “ Did I grab the one you were after? My baaad. You want it? ”
