developers moving all their bug tracking and suggestion management to discord is like if you could only access customer support if you joined a facebook group. we need to start shaming people who use discords as a replacement for an actual proper repository

like discords cant be searched with a search engine. all the info is locked behind a membership gate. if someone's already had the same issue as you and solved it you have no way of knowing because all the troubleshooting was in a random channel 3 months ago. if someone has the same suggestion as you, you cant back them up with your support and spitball ideas. youre actively sabotaging yourself if you use discord for dev utilities.

making people join your walled-off garden party in order to be able to leave a slip of paper in the suggestion box, or even be able to tell you theyre having an issue with the thing you made, is stupid. you are stupid. even making a forum would be better because at least forums are searchable from the outside. youre doing website login walls to be able to access customer support and feedback forms.
