💜As one of the Uchiha who might tend to be more interested in a strong darling this is definitely up to his taste. In a small way he really does respect his darling since he has seen their powers in action before and how they ruined the whole landscape around them with a mere kick in the ground. Growing up together in the village with him made it somewhat impossible for him to not notice you, a prodigy alongside with him. And even if he could not help the small feeling of rivalry, he ended up helping you and tutoring you a bit as well. As a child he was more of a nice and friendly guy before he turned out the wrong way.

💜Indra really can not help himself from monopolizing your time the older the two of you get and the more possessive he grows. It’s quite safe to say that together with him his s/o is the strongest and most skilled person in the village and for that probably has quite a few admirers, especially since they help a lot with their medical jutsus. To the great annoyance of Indra who constantly forces his darling to tag along to train with him because they’re literally the only one worthy training with or because he wants to help them a bit more with their jutsus.

💜Even if he isn’t a romantic guy, he’s decided for a while now that he wants his s/o to be his future spouse and seeing others fawning over them makes him snap at others. The worst has yet to come after his father chose Asura over him, humiliating him in front of everyone including you. Because that is his true awakening to the terrifying guy he is later on. He’s known his darling for a long time so chances are that he’ll actually ask them nicely to join him before he resorts to violent methods. He has reasons to really hope that his darling will tag along willingly because with their ridiculous strength and skills keeping them won’t be that easy, even for him. But I assure everyone, if the s/o comes with him this will be the definition of an overpowered couple.

Madara Uchiha

🌑That’s his type perfectly. Madara loves himself a strong darling and even if he’s initially more interested in his darling’s wide range on skills and power, it later on transforms into something much more dark. Met his darling in the Leaf Village. How couldn’t he with the reputation they had made already? Even if they hadn’t the kekkai genkai of the Hokage, there was no doubt that the s/o was one of the strongest shinobi the Leaf had to offer so obviously Madara sought out to get to know them.

🌑Rumors tend to exaggerate so he wanted to see for himself the person who supposedly could destroy a mountain with one punch. Only after he really sees it he starts becoming so intrigued. I won’t lie here, he isn’t exactly sure how to feel that you tend to spend so much time in the hospital and healing the people who were hurt. On the one hand he still has some sort of heart and from rather devastating experiences himself he understands how important your role is. On the other hand he feels that sometimes you might waste a bit too much time in the building.

🌑Takes a similar route as Indra with the point of monopolizing your time and wanting to train with you. He’s really just exhilarated every time you agree, squeezing time for him in between your busy schedule. There are few people who ever landed a kick or hit on him and even fewer sent him flying and left bruises. He bonds in times like these since you’re kind enough to heal his and your wounds after training when both of you went a bit too wild. His clan really only approves of his plans of courting, you’re everything they could ask for in a spouse for Madara. I mean, even the head of the clan himself respects you for your ability to stand up even against him.

Hashirama Senju

🌳He knows a bit about the Strength of a Hundred Seal from Mito yet his darling is such a completely different story to this all. Because their reputation in the village is extremely popular with many villagers aspiring to be like Hashirama’s darling. And that really only makes him proud and he can even endure all the letters and drawings from admirers, platonic and from children. It’s mostly because he trusts his darling and has his reputation as the Hokage. He’s not necessarily a fan of letting his darling fight even with their ridiculous powers and healing techniques.

🌳Just extremely supportive and all too ready to listen to you whenever you nag about something that could be better in the hospital. Let’s be honest, you’re probably head of the hospital with your medical jutsus and whenever you point details that could be better out, Hashirama listens. Even the training of other medical nin is mostly part of your job and this always manages to warm Hashi’s heart, he enjoys seeing you teach others how to prevent people from dying a tragic and unnecessary death. Especially interactions with young children and genin are always a heartwarming scene as well, the adoration and wish to be like you and the sparkles when you acknowledge and advice them. Also absolutely loves it when you end up healing him when he has hurt himself.

🌳But with their powers he still can not help the small feeling of terror whenever someone gets you mad or you’re just in a bad mood. That has to be terrifying given your strength so you can bet that he’ll do anything he can to not let any innocent person be a victim of your wrath. Even Tobirama has mad respect for his darling for good reasons. Once again, his clan couldn’t complain less about his choice of spouse. You have their respect as well since they already see you as a valued part of their clan with your abilities in so many different areas.

Tobirama Senju

🌊Tobirama really just is the borderline of being terrified of you as well the first time he saw you splitting the ground in half with only a punch. Truly a sight to behold and it made many run for their lives. Tobi differs a lot since he will make good use of that power you hold for the sake of the village both of you love. With everything he knows about you he has complete trust that you will be able to guarantee that you and your comrades are safe and will come back home. I just imagine everyone on the darling’s squad will be more confident whenever they’re part of it.

🌊Fighting is of course not everything you have interest and talent in and the medical aspect of the village will surely improve under your time a lot as well. Tobirama knows that his darling works hard and that only strengthens his respect he already holds so greatly. It’s really only smart to not mess with his darling and he knows that too well, making them an enemy will be a fatal move so he tries to stay low with everything he does. His brother sometimes jokes a bit about the fact that his younger brother is the tiniest bit scared.

🌊He’s workaholic so there are those times where you’ll pummel him for not taking more care of himself. He knows that you only mean the best though which is why he never dares to say anything against you. The love letters are not exactly his piece of cake though, even if he knows that his s/o is popular among children as well as adults. He has confidence that others won’t try to make a move on you since it’s known that you two are together yet when he sometimes reads one of the love letters, he might get the tiniest bit jealous. The letters and drawings from children on the other hand are actually endearing for him to see, you’re the role model of so many young shinobi. Did I already mention that his clan adores you as well?

Pain

🌧I am pretty sure that he originally had his darling joining him as a member of the Akatsuki before he somehow fell in love and his protective side got triggered. To be completely outspoken, even Pain knows that this worries of his are partially absolutely not needed, looking on how easily you can punch a hole in someone’s guts. Just as much as he might know that capturing you against your will won’t end well unless he would put you under a constant genjutsu. Still though, he’s the leader so he still holds power over the s/o and ends up partnering them with Konan since she keeps as sharp eye on them as well.

🌧Up to the point where he finally introduces himself, missions start to decrease drastically and there is no doubt you’ll be iffy about it as well. That’s something Konan and Pain will have to convince you about together, especially with the part where you start living in Amegakure together with them. Both would hate to force you, destruction will be the result and no one wants that. Paperwork will be all you’ll get to do in the end though, Pain won’t really let you do anything else. He’ll have to wind up being more compromising to let you out or otherwise he’d risk the building getting annihilated.

🌧I really can’t stop thinking that once the s/o sees Nagato’s body, they might just offer healing him completely up which they would probably be able to do completely. And Konan and Nagato also saw that coming, especially Konan had probably hoped for this. She already lost Yahiko and seeing Nagato isn’t something that completely passes uncaring by on her either. Nagato himself probably really wishes to spend more time with his darling as well, but it’s his condition that holds himself back which is why he has to interact through Pain most of the time.

Obito Uchiha

🔥His darling is most likely an Akatsuki member or was one before they caught the eye of this very paranoid man here. After that they really can just kiss this kind of life style goodbye because Obito would never risk the low chance of them getting killed or captured. It’s so ironic because his s/o can defend themself just fine yet Obito won’t really be any sort of different than he would normally be. He’s still delusional, clingy, overprotective and above everything else nightmarishly paranoid of losing them.

🔥Funnily enough I can see how the darling probably thinks the same as they would do with Pain. The moment they see the condition Obito is in, one half of his body completely scared and one eye missing, they might just feel like they want to help him as well, the heavy signs of trauma and emotional instability he shows not even mentioned. It’s maybe really just why they don’t pick a fight instantly as soon as they start understanding just what happened to the man. Whatever happened to you, a medic still cares for the well-being of others and Obito won’t really be an exception since he is technically not your enemy.

🔥Removing his darling from the organization is happening the one or another way even if it’ll be a loss since you were the only real medic for critical wounds they had. In the end Obito still is the one who pulls the strings and is the secret leader of the Akatsuki so no one can say anything against it. For him it’d be probably emotionally the most heartbreaking if he had to fight against his darling. He doesn’t really have to hold back yet he would be too horrified to harm a strand on their hair. He relies mainly on his Sharingan, but even with his kekkai genkai he’s anxious. Also, for his mental state please don’t shorten your own lifetime with your regeneration abilities.

Shisui Uchiha

🍂To his times Tsunade has already made her great reputation and name, he is from the same village as her and is living there after all. Yet she’s gone missing for the time being and that is why people make even more of a fuss about his darling than they would already. Word travels around fast and so everyone has heard at least once about the miracle child that might even be able to surpass Tsunade, one of the three Sanin, one day. So they were even from child’s days always in the center of attention since everyone had high hopes and expectations.

🍂That’s maybe what Shisui feels sorry for, sympathizing with you. He hasn’t had it easy either since he was deemed a prodigy of his clan from youngest days on as well yet he regrets that you didn’t have a completely normal childhood more than he does with his one. Technically he doesn’t really have to stalk his s/o given their capabilities yet he still often does, his protective side isn’t that easily removed. Shisui ends up asking his darling a lot how their powers really work, for curious reasons and if something unexpected should happen. Hearing it all is in the end still another reminder of how hard you worked and how amazing you are, even if he’d like you to not use all the seals and jutsus you have.

🍂It happened a few times that he had wounds which had to be treated as well and he really smiled every time his darling was the one who did it. Yes, even with their scolding and everything, he knew that they were only concerned after all. Both of you lead alongside to that a very busy like so he is all the more eager to be with you whenever both of you are free for a longer time. Shisui is wise enough to really never make you on purpose snap, it’s scary to watch so he is careful if you should be a hothead yourself. Doesn’t mean that he’ll stand up for others if they did anger you despite his warnings. It’s highly likely that you’ll end up becoming an assistant of Tsunade herself as soon as she returns to the Leaf.

Itachi Uchiha

🍡I still am convinced that in such cases the darling will most likely be an Akatsuki member since someone like that would catch their attention if they were to find out that you’ve gone rouge. For Itachi it’s a bit of a nostalgic feeling since he’s heard the stories and is reminded of his old home due to the similarities. Even Kisame points it out to him, though he doesn’t mean to sadden Itachi by this. It’s actually why Itachi avoids you for a bit until he’s suddenly partnered up with you and gets to know you better.

🍡He can’t even count on all of his fingers how often he had to hear his darling’s scolding since he strains his body and eyes terribly much, not to mention that he’s been weakened due to his sickness as well. That is until you start taking care of it and his condition really boosts up positively by a lot and he is grateful for that. In the end you wouldn’t have stopped, especially not when hearing that he was planning to sacrifice himself so his younger brother would return to the Leaf. It means ultimately he gets to spend more time with you and that is something to look forward too.

🍡He wouldn’t really step in unless he notices that you struggle with an enemy because Itachi fully trusts in your abilities and your power to fight for yourself. Although he has made it clear that he does not wish for you to shorten your life unless it’s absolutely necessary. It wouldn’t fit after you guaranteed him a healthy and long life which he intends to spend with you. In the case that you get hotheaded he’s there to calm you down and to think logical, although with you brute force can be the solution to problems sometimes too. Laughable enough Kisame ends up obviously terrified when he saw you losing your patience the first time since he can’t quite hold a candle to your strength.

Sasuke Uchiha

💙It is Orochimaru who ends up being reminded so much of Tsunade every time he sees Sasuke’s darling and maybe that is why he is especially fascinated with them. Nothing Sasuke is too fond of because he still views Orochimaru as a freak, so much more in regards of the s/o. They are a priced possession of the Sanin after all, surpassing his former teammate by a lot and since they always are with him and Kabuto and are the same age as Sasuke, the Uchiha naturally gets attached over time. And yes, he demands that you constantly train with him and fight him as well. He’s never seen Tsunade in action that much before so he wants to see for himself.

💙Count him as impressed even if he wouldn’t show it openly though. His darling earns over time his trust and his faith and due to them being able to hold their own against him, he won’t worry too much when they’re out in troubles unless the situation is a more tense one in which case he will rush to help. He’s a bit reckless himself so here again, he’ll have a ridiculously strongg medical nin healing him up whilst lecturing him like a parent would their child. It amuses anyone but him though, he isn’t known to be scolded just like this. He tolerates it only because you’re his darling and he holds respect for you.

💙He isn’t happy about the slight theater that is made after the Shinobi War and everyone gets to know you in person, someone only rumors have existed about so far. Even if he has changed now, he won’t settle down though and he’s actually a bit scared that his darling will abandon him to stay in the Leaf. The people there offer you a place in the hospital after all and people like Tsunade and Sakura with abilities same as you are bound to stir up your curiosity. Sasuke would just feel betrayed even if deep down he would understand a bit of you’d finally want to live a normal life. But he’s far too deep in his obsession to really be without you so he’ll force you if he needs to do.

Why Gun and Daniel’s Relationship Actually Makes Sense: Can you love the teacher more than you hate the criminal? (It gets pretty long, I'm sorry 😭)

I want to start off by saying that this is all just my own personal opinion that I wanted to share! So take this with a grain of salt as this just a general observation; I sectioned the meta into 5 parts so it's easier to read and I apologize for any typos or grammar mistakes that may have slipped. 🩷 (I also want to say that I still have to catch up to the latest chapters as i took a break from lookism around the Busan arc so feel free to correct me if anything has been updated without my knowledge)

and without further explanation let's get into it:

lot of people call Daniel a hypocrite for the way he treats Gun. They say he condemns Gun’s crimes but still visits him. That he fought him, yet still respects him. That his stance changed too quickly. (Which I don't blame anyone for and it is a criticism of mine too)

But I think that criticism misses something fundamental — not just about Daniel, but about Gun himself.

Daniel isn’t really inconsistent and Gun isn’t nessecarly out of character. Their relationship makes sense — precisely because it breaks the pattern Gun established with everyone else and makes us see side of these two characters that we have never previously explored.

Gun's Intial Interest In People; And What Is Required To Be Seen As "Fit":

Gun initially takes interest in Daniel due to his copy ability and immense untapped potential. But I think this is the first part where gun's motivations with Daniel start diverging from his previous ones

Gun disqualified practically all of his students for straying from where they were supposed to go or for their wavering loyalty.

Gun discarded johan because he couldn't control his crew. Gun literally told him he was "unworthy" and left him crying in the rain. I dont even think the guy liked Johan beyond his talent.

Gun and Jake's relationship was strictly business. Gun sent Jake to prison because Big Deal was involved in illegal gambling that got traced back. Yet again, gun invested in potential he saw, but still discarded Jake when he proved himself to be unworthy in gun's eyes

Gun just refused to train Samuel because he'd be too unstable to run a gang, that's it. At least Jake had the leadership skills to be qualified to be a crew head, much less his successor.

This one is more of an oddball since the relationship between Gun and Eli soured because their goals and ideologies became fundamentally incompatible, even though Eli was gun's favorite and gun's ideal, ruthless successor. Eli prioritised his family over the power, money, and violence that Gun demanded. He was essentially perfect in gun's eyes until he decided to walk away. He never really got disqualified but more disqualified himself.

Gun ultimately let go of most of his formal students due to their inability to control their crew or uphold his expectations.

Basically, you had to have talent, leadership, control, ruthlessness, loyalty, and the capacity to inherit violence, If you wavered on any of those, you were out

Talent and potential are still a big criteria for gun perhaps the biggest and I'm not saying otherwise, but it's not the only thing required to pass, you can have infinite potential and talent but if you're incapable of leading a couple of people that will still disqualify you. It was never talent alone that got you a ticket to training if you had to run a crew

Gun is still drawn to strength above all. He's fascinated by lethal potential and intrigued by the idea of being killed by something he created. Those arrested constants that will never change.

Daniel didn't have people to lead, nor did he want to be gun's successor when he asked gun to train him, Didn’t ask to run a crew, and didn’t align with Gun’s ideology yet gun *still* trained him. daniel is clearly somehow an exception.

Gun trained Eli, Jake, olly, and Johan for their talent and potential too, yes, but with the goal of overseeing one of the 4 major crews and becoming his successor. There was a preexisting system that the gun had to work within. There was profit and succession and hierarchy involved. And he disqualified them when they didn't conform to it anymore

Why Daniel May Differ:

Gun never trained daniel for a specific purpose or ulterior motives. There's no real strings attached. Gun isn't using Daniel to run a crew for money. He's training Daniel for the sake of strength itself, not even to be his successor, just to develop that potential that daniel isn't making use of, daniel essentially brings out guns want to train people and invest in pure talent and potential

Daniel’s copy ability definitely hooks him at first. That’s textbook Gun — he spots rare talent and wants to test it. Daniel just wants to grow in strength because he's tired of being weak, and that happens to exactly be guns expertise. Almost like an artist obsessing over perfecting a piece not to sell it, not to weaponize it,  but just because the craft matters.

Gun doesn't have to play businessman or enforcer like he has to with the other crew heads. There's a certain layer of professionalism and obligation due to the nature of gun orders to create the 4 major crews, hense he demands nothing but perfection and talent for the heads.

Even though gun genuinely enjoys nurturing potential and talent the head's have, it's still within the confinement of shaping them into people worthy of one day taking his place and running a gang, like I said he's operating in a system, he wasn’t just cultivating talent for the sake of it like with daniel but he was fulfilling an order. He had to produce leaders. And potential successors, every mistake they make relfects on him (the latter is purely on him, though), and that means he can't be as lenient as he is with daniel

He can just be daniel's teacher, and that's it.

daniel can mess up, but that doesn't affect gun like it does with the crew whom he has to actively supervise. Gun wasn't obligated to train daniel. The guy literally had to beg him on his knees before taking him in. He's not molding daniel for a specific purpose he just wants to make him his masterpiece (and the fact that daniel genuinely wanted to learn and be trained by gun instead of being forced into it probably helped a lot)

Daniel shaping up to become gun successor is something that happens organically and naturally. gun initially only intended for him to be his "masterpiece," not a role that was already decided. There's no real end goal besides "make the kid strong." So that's why I think gun is so ecstatic at the way daniel turned out. It's a surprise joy.

which i also think is the reason as to why gun was still proud of daniel in 504 despite completely beating his ass. The guy was pleasantly surprised that daniel turned out to be a legitimate candidate for being his successor and hense killing him,

that's why he tells him with so much joy that daniel is allowed to kill him (which implied he wasn't before) and the final score of 72/100, gun never really cared about the outcome of the fight, but it still managed to entertain him. That is the only time we saw gun genuinely enjoying himself in a fight against someone inferior to him without getting bored. (And also seeing how daniel progressed) He’s delighted. Not because Daniel hurt him. Not because Daniel almost won. Not because the stakes were high. But because Daniel qualified. It’s just Gun (as a teacher) watching his favorite project shaping up to become someone worthy of killing him

How Gun Treats Daniel Differently:

I find this fight interesting not only because of that but also because of the way gun behaves.

Gun is known to absolutely humiliate and destroys the people he had under him when they fail to fulfill the purpose he had in mind for them, be it professional or feat wise, betrayal, loss, being overly attached these are all reason that gun has discarded people over. My point is that Gun is consistent. Except with Daniel

daniel manages to break ALL those rules yet *still* stays on gun's good side, the same guy who gives disproportionate consequences for half of what daniel has done.

daniel directly opposes himself to gun and fights him to prevent him from getting to his goal during the hunt for gun. Yet gun never... really takes it personally.

On the contrary. He doesn’t care that Daniel disagrees with him. Or that he's technically betraying him.  He cares that Daniel can stand against him and even encourages him to do so.

Gun doesn’t switch into his usual degrading tone. He doesn’t verbally shred him. He doesn’t sneer. He doesn’t call him a failure even when he's getting completely dominated in that fight (while he totally had the others have it and calls out the other heads incompetence). He teaches him mid-fight. He corrects him. He praises him. He evaluates him and even deems proud of daniel despite him having lost quite easily.

But the thing is that daniels essential "betrayal" of gun never came from a place of resentment or revenge, but it was for a bigger goal of retrieving the red paper, and neither hold a grudge over it later.

And of course, we know that during the short while gun was training Daniel, they did develop some kind of bond, while gun did relentless beat up daniel he also seemed to grow fond of him along the way maybe seeing him as more than just a "work in progress"! (I mean he made him sushi. What more could daniel ask for)

Why I don't Think Daniel Is A Hypocrite:

People like to claim that daniel is a hypocrite for changing his stance on gun so quickly when he seemed to condemn his actions before, but if we look deeper into it and with a little more empathy it's quite easy to see why.

daniel came to understand gun and saw a side of him that no one ever did on top of gaining immense respect for him because he was the only one there when he felt completely helpess to do anything *gun was daniel's mentor* and we come to see that this mentor ship also extend beyond the bonds of just strength and fighting. (more on that later)

We could say that daniel isn't used to people helping him when he's at his lowest and especially in his OG body, he was relentlessly bullied, beaten, verbally and physically abused all his life and he only now decided to take matters into his own hands amd change things for himself even if it was motivated by his need to retrieve his second body.

Daniel, until then, has soley been relying on his second body for his day to day life. It's pretty easy to see that daniel doesn't value his OG body up until this point due to the things he went through due and with it. Everyone else in Daniel’s life loved him *despite* his OG body (like his mom) or loved him *because* of his Perfect Body (like his school friends initially but that later developed into genuine connection).

Gun is essentially the *first person* to ever help daniel in the body he ultimately considered hopeless (he was only using it as a means to an end until now) to the point where he felt comfortable enough to use it more often if not more than the perfect body even long after retrieving it.

When Gun trained him, he forced Daniel to stop relying on the "cheat code" of the second body and made Daniel own his own skin. Which would be something huge for someone like daniel.

Daniel was never really after gun in the first place. He was after Charles Choi, and gun was standing in the way. Gun was never realy "daniels enemy" even if he despised him. It's more of a *"I will fight you because I have to, but I will never stop respecting the man who gave me my life back."*

It also helps that Daniel is likely the only person who has seen Gun eat, sleep, and just exist without the suit and the intimidation factor since he literally lived with him for a while, gun trusted daniel enough to train him in his own house and I think those factors definitely humanized gun a lot more in daniels eyes.

Daniel is essentially gun's first student who *didn't* end up turning on him later down the line, even going as far as to maintain that mentor/mentee relationship long after daniels training was over and his fight with daniel. In a world where everyone sees Gun as a "monster," a "legend," or straight up an asshole, Daniel is the only one who trully saw him as a teacher and still regards him a such, gun even lets him call him hyun and that's still sticking till now

It's less about hypocrisy and more about profoundly human gratitude. You can condemn someone and understand why others hate them due to their horrible actions, but also feel attached to that person due to personal experiences, and those two statements can and should coexist

Daniel is a naturally very empathetic person (and the mc) but he's also still human, he's prone to be biased and objective but that's what makes daniel daniel, he acknowledges that gun's actions can never be excused, it's not like he wiped gun's misdeeds out of his memory, but when you spend so much time with someone and get to know them your view of them is prone to change, and you naturally recontexteualise their previous actions because you see them in a new light.

Daniel doesn't have amnesia. He knows Gun has done terrible things. But **subjectivity is a hell of a drug.** When a "monster" is the only person who stays up with you, eats with you, and pushes you to be your best self of course you wouldn't treat them as such.

People want characters to be moral compasses 24/7, but Daniel isn't a robot; he’s a kid who was saved from his awful situation by the most unlikely person possible.

​It’s that classic philosophical conflict: Can you love the teacher while hating the criminal? For Daniel, the answer is a complicated "Yes."

Hypocrisy is claiming to have moral standards that you don't actually follow. Daniel isn't doing that. He isn't saying, "Gun is a good man." He’s saying, "Gun is my teacher."

Daniel is incredibly honest about his bias. He doesn't try to convince Vasco or Jake or anyone that Gun is a saint. He keeps his gratitude personal. Daniel was even willing to fight Gun during the "Hunt for Gun" arc. A true hypocrite would have stepped aside or joined him. Daniel performed his duty to his friends, but he did it with a heavy heart, which is the most "Daniel" thing possible. Daniel is a complex character who is allowed some grace when what he has to do and what he feels are clashing, but he ultimately still does what he thinks is right.

Daniel visiting him in prison isn't him condoning Gun's crimes or forgiving him for everything. It’s more him refusing to abandon the man who didn't abandon him when he was at his lowest. It’s radical empathy, and it’s probably Daniel’s greatest superpower

Why Gun and Daniel Nicely Contradict Each Other but Still Ultimately Work:

When Daniel says he didn't give up Gun's location because he didn't want him to get hurt, he's treating Gun with human empathy. To a guy like Gun, who is used to everyone wanting him dead or fearing him, that kind of genuine care from his "Masterpiece" must have been a total culture shock and he is in fact perplexed by it. He calls him pathetic for it, but there's no real bite to it. We know guns have always struggled with those kinds of feelings. It's normal why he'd fail to understand but still accept it.

And in a way, gun never stops mentoring daniel when the training is over, he advices him even while in prison (something we have never seen Gun do) he only accepted for daniel to visit him, you could argue that he was about to open up but backed out of it, but gun still told though daniel lessons and "morals" that he wasn't obligated to teach. Like never to regret the choices he made or that life is all about consequences.

Gun telling Daniel not to regret his choices is the most important lesson he could ever give a kid as empathetic as Daniel. Daniel carries the weight of the world on his shoulders; Gun is teaching him the mental toughness needed to survive the consequences of being a leader.

When Gun talks about consequences, he’s not just talking about the law. He’s talking about the path they’ve both chosen. Gun knows he belongs in that cell (or worse), and he’s teaching Daniel that true strength is standing by your actions, win or lose. It’s a "dark" moral, but it’s an honest one. And one daniel needs to hear.

Daniel needs to learn those lessons of we wants to continue to walk in the path he chose. Gun may be a harsh mentor, but he's a needed one, and he contrasts daniel beautifully. They have opposing morals and convictions, yet even people like them can get along.they both grew. Gun gave Daniel the teeth he needed to actually survive and enforce his morals, and Daniel gave Gun a reason to feel pride in something other than destruction.

Daniel needs Gun's perspective. If Daniel stayed purely "good" and "soft," he would have been crushed by the likes of Charles Choi or anyone else looooong ago, and surely he will need it in the future. Gun taught him that conviction without power is just a dream. To change the world, Daniel had to be willing to step into the mud, and Gun was the one who held his hand (but more like occasionally punched him in the face and drag him through it) while he did it.

Build a bitchy mindset when it comes to manifestation. Why are you, as God, worried about your creation not reflecting what you want? How are you God but you’re doubting if you can change your creation?! If your thoughts create reality like you say it does, then change your thoughts to favorable ones and stop looking outside of yourself for proof of desire. You’re the validator of your reality, reality is not the validator of you.
