Ahmad Ibn Harb (Rahimahullah) said:

"There is nothing more beneficial to a Muslim's heart than to mix with the righteous and to watch their actions, while nothing is more harmful to the heart than mixing with the sinners and watching their actions."

Sufyan ibn Uyaynah رَحِمَهُ اللهُ:

Do not abandon duʻa' and do not let (the evil) that you know about yourself prevent you from duʻa’. Indeed, Allah answered Iblis whilst he is the evilest of all creation, Allah mentions:

قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ (٣٦) قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ (٣٧)

(Iblis) said: Oh my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected. Allah said: Then verily, you are of those reprieved.
