we as a society have GOT to accept that it is okay if we get blocked. you do not have the right to interact with every single person on the internet. "but then i can't interact with their content" yes that is the point "but i didn't do anything" no one owes you an explanation and you don't have to have "done something" to be blocked. let it go
"i ate too many cookies" is truly an ageless problem. an unlearnable lesson.
And just in case you're new here, saw that Odysseus post, and haven't been along for the Saga that has been me fighting the racism of the Greek Classics space, I just want to clarify that no, I don't "think that Odysseus was Black". I have a design for him as Black, but that's just for fun. That was just one point made of a larger argument about what was wrong with Epic's casting.
My arguments have never been "these people were all Black". My argument has been "you cannot tell me that it is inaccurate that any one of these people could be Black, when Ancient Greece was on the Mediterranean and literally everyone knew what boats were and could travel. There were Black people present in your Ancient Greece."
So if you saw that post and thought "but Ice why-" I said what I said. If being horrible people as characters has never stopped white fans from loving white characters, that standard should hold the same when those characters are Black 🤷🏾♀️
Khalil Greene had a really interesting video about racism in translation and interpretation of The Odyssey supported by classicist Dr. Jackie Murry.

Whether or not this was the intention, not only are headcanons perfectly fine, but like OP says, it is completely plausible, people are just being racist
So this is not a plea for money. This is something that surprised me, and chatting with people on discord, they were unaware of as well.
Discovered last year I couldn’t look at my 2015 MacBook Air without it triggering nausea and migraines, and figured the screen died. Have been getting by on my phone, but concluded I really need a laptop again.
Saved up, realised I could afford a brand new MacBook Neo, and got one.
-And I couldn’t spend more than five minutes looking at the screen without massive eye strain, nausea, vertigo, and if I pushed it, I-need-to-lie-down-in-a-dark-room-for-hours migraines.
Looking up MacBook and Eyestrain explained what is going on. The liquid retina displays that Apple currently has uses Pulse Width Modulation or PWM. In order to give the screens a deeper depth of colour and contrast, PWM flickers between several hundred to thousand times a second.
And there is currently no way to turn it off. There are settings and apps to reduce it, but there is no way to stop the screen from flickering. Checked Apple forums, called Apple Support, and the time I could look at the screen kept shrinking. Got the laptop Tuesday, returned it Friday, today is Sunday and I’m still dealing with a vertigo migraine.
For MacBooks, it seems to vary on the computer model and the software it uses. In retrospect, the issue with my MacBook Air started after a major software update.
And it’s not just an Apple thing. Current Windows and Android screens do the same thing. There’s even a Reddit for people who are sensitive to PWM flickers to help find computers and screens that won’t trigger eyestrain and headaches.
So, yeah. This week has been a learning experience. But for those who are prone to headaches and migraines, this may be something to be aware of, cause I was not.

And he called himself Warriormale. He ran a blog that was officially about martial arts, but everyone knew it was really about him exploring his deep-seated homosexual urges.
“drop the damn towel kennedy!” he’d say…and we’d cheer, oh we’d cheer…
i think something a lot of people don't get is that years of mocking your child, even in jest, does in fact tend to get under their skin

Me: okay I am done talking about this thing that's upsetting me. Bye.
*literally two seconds later*: AND ANOTHER THING
if you want to dress gay but aren’t sure how, you need to focus more on finding clothes you actually like and that make you feel good when you look in the mirror. develop your style independently of what you think looks gayest and trust the homosexuality will follow. it goes where confidence and self acceptance are
