Hello! I'm Reyna. I'm 27 years old and am an aspiring writer, youtuber, and game dev. But most importantly to this blog (and scariest to staff), I'm a transfeminist.

Here to post really whatever now but with a transfeminist bent. This blog kinda exists after 8 other blogs got termed so I'll be posting a bit of everything.

Do not harass or go looking to fight the people I display here. This is to point out harmful rhetoric, not to encourage you to start a hate campaign. Use it for your block list at most.

I have no issue with supporting my trans brothers in discussing the bigotry and struggle they face. Do not suggest otherwise or try to mansplain transandrophobia theory to me. You look like a dumbass and a misogynist. Try not being a part of a deeply transmisogynistic movement first.

Well! I guess I'll be restarting my counts of transmisogyny. I'm going based off of what I remember of the counts on you-are-transmisogynistic, so the exact numbers may be off a little bit.

you know I hear a lot about trans men being mistaken for trans women, but not a lot about trans women being mistaken for trans men

am I just not hearing about it, or is it maybe something to do with the fact that transfemininity is more scrutinized and presumed? like, I wonder if people are more inclined to try to spot it because we are so fearmongered about

I have been on multiple dates where they assumed I was transmasc, and was ghosted when they realized I was transfem. I know it happens when I am inexplicably treated with dignity and respect on accident

I've talked to a lot of lesbians, and most assume (because I am butch) that I'm transmasc. Also because I have a deeper voice, a lot of people assume that I'm on testosterone. When they find out I am not, that's where pleasant conversation ends. Queer people are fine with a masculine woman, except when she's transfem.

Happened to me a few times earlier in my transition when I presented more non-binary. Stubble also grew out disgustingly swiftly and contributed to these kinds of misunderstandings. And yeah the amount of people who ghosted me after finding out I was a transfem was all but one of the people with the misconception (and that one still stopped seeing me as a viable romantic partner after realizing)

I wasn’t sent to conversion therapy twice as a teenager only to have people on the internet guilt me into trying to like people assigned male just like the Mormon counselors wanted. I will always advocate for trans rights but this kind of rhetoric will only hurt you. You cannot guilt or coerce people into sleeping with you or rather, you can, but you should’t.

I've been wanting to unpack this particular terf argument for a while but I'm not even sure what I wrote that you could be responding to here. yes it's bioessentialist to see trans women as our assigned sex before what we actually are, but that fact alone does not obligate you to sleep with anyone

it would be fatphobic to announce that you don't want to sleep with fat women, and someone simply calling that out alone would not constitute pressuring you to sleep with anyone you didn't want to

it's not carte blanche to announce all the minorities you don't want to sleep with and aren't attracted to

also I promise you there are quite a lot of trans men who do not want to be told how attracted to their "afabness" you are. your obsession with people's government sex assignments is gross. spare us your essentialism and just don't fuck people you don't want to fuck it's that simple

the fact that some trans men call themselves lesbians is not a blank check for you to reduce them all to their agabs. it's disgusting. stop

"we have sex with genitals not identity" is actually crazy. personally when i have sex im engaging with my partner as a person and not as a disembodied penis or vagina or what have you. but given how y'all treat trans women that's probably a concept you wouldn't understand.

and you already know despite how much these people harp on about it just being genital preference, they're not fucking with trans women post-op or otherwise. it's transmisogyny plain and simple, loosely disguised with terf talking points and cloaked in progressive-sounding language to make us out as the terrible awful people trying to take away their bodily autonomy. we literally don't care who y'all fuck but at least have the guts to admit to yourself your real reasoning.

For the record, this bizarre TERF fixation with the idea that trans women want to have sex with them, specifically, regardless of consent should feel very familiar to anyone who's lived in a time/place that treated gay people as intolerable.

Being a teenager growing up in mostly-conservative areas of the U.S. prior to 2015, it was practically a given that coming out as gay would instantly make everyone of the same gender feel less comfortable in your presence -- even the supposedly "tolerant" ones! -- because all of them suddenly felt as though you wanted to have sex with them, specifically, regardless of consent. Decades of media propaganda portraying gay people as deceptive, sexually aggressive, and (in particular) predatory towards children had made the mere existence of gay people in a community feel like a sexual threat to every straight person.

(Overt) Homophobia may now be unfashionable for most of the U.S., but the exact same propaganda continues to be used by the transmisogyny crowd. We're painted as deceptive, dangerous, sex-crazed -- as predators looking for vulnerable women and children to abuse and convert to our "perverse lifestyle".

TERFs and other transmisogynists insisting that trans lesbians seeking acceptance is equivalent to corrective rape and conversion therapy is a tale as old as time. They've fully bought into the belief that transfeminine people are all dishonest sexual predators, and they reconcile this belief with the reality of our desperation for basic tolerance by spinning narratives in which everything we do or say is just running cover for violence. Simply stating that we are women who feel attraction to other women is taken as proof that we want to have sex with them, specifically, regardless of consent. It is the exact same right-wing propaganda that many of them fervently oppose when it's aimed at them and their fellow cis gays, but they have no problem believing it's true when it allows them to attack those they already see as lesser.

Nobody can be exclusively attracted to afab people because YOU DON'T KNOW. You can't, not for sure.

What actually happens is they're attracted to someone and then if they find out they're transfeminine they get that instant gut reaction of "Ew fuck a tranny". That's why it's not a preference, it's a manifestation of bigotry.

more than anything i want a world where a trans girl realizing she is a trans girl faces zero fear from that realization and subsequent coming out. Where she can say "Oh sweet, I can just be a girl? Sign me up!", no worrying if shes girl enough, no worrying if society will accept her, no worrying if she'll be an attractive girl as she transitions, no worrying at all in any way shape or form.
