In any case. I’m Louks. I also answer to Tim/Timothy/Moth, as well as my username and any variations or nicknames derived from it

Pronouns are he/him, it/its, they/them and ey/em. My preference currently leans towards he and it. They/them’s taking a bit of a backseat and tbh I don’t think anyone’s ever actually referred to me with ey/em pronouns so I don’t really have an opinion on those yet

I’m aroace spec and trans, I don’t generally post anything nsfw but I do occasionally reblog things that may contain nsfw content and of course I can’t promise I’ll never post anything in the future. I will attempt to tag both posts and reblogs appropriately but I will probably forget at some point

I tag all my posts with ‘louks is rambling’ if you want to filter out my numerous reblogs and just look at whatever I’ve decided to say recently

I don’t have a dni list, I’ll just block anyone who pisses me off, whether it’s because we have a fundamentally different view of life and people and politics or because I find you mildly annoying

One of the best writing advice I have gotten in all the months I have been writing is "if you can't go anywhere from a sentence, the problem isn't in you, it's in the last sentence." and I'm mad because it works so well and barely anyone talks about it. If you're stuck at a line, go back. Backspace those last two lines and write it from another angle or take it to some other route. You're stuck because you thought up to that exact sentence and nothing after that. Well, delete that sentence, make your brain think because the dead end is gone. It has worked wonders for me for so long it's unreal

I don't remember where I heard this now, but I absorbed the advice, "if you're stuck, count ten sentences back and start again from there". It's not always ten sentences back, for me, but it does force me to look at the last handful of lines I've actually written on a sentence instead of a story level, and that is eminently helpful in unsticking myself most of the time.

I recently resolved a point where I'd been stuck for months not by changing anything in the scene I was currently writing, but by realizing I needed to add another scene before that one to establish key information I couldn't work into the current one

if youre in the US (especially the northeast + michigan) i would avoid bagged salads/greens and generally wash your produce very thoroughly unless you want the diarrhea parasite

this is not life-threatening, but also who wants weeks of diarrhea and a fucking parasite in them lol. if you suspect you've already had this and it's passed, i would see a doctor. you might need an antiparasitic anyway. if you're actively sick, see a doctor and they might be able to prescribe medication to help you get over it faster.

try to avoid eating raw vegetables, scrub fruit with a produce brush and rinse thoroughly with water. again, don't bother with premade greens or bagged salads. if you buy lettuce, remove the outer 2-3 layers of leaves.

there are UNVERIFIED rumors that the greens have been linked to a company that sources to taco bell. some locations have been actively pulling fresh ingredients like lettuce, avocado, and pico de gallo to mitigate the threat, so i would avoid any products from them just in case. considering how vast supply chains are, i'd be wary of any fast food greens in general for now.
