Hello there lovers and haters,

As I am sure you have heard by now, we are under threat. I know you are probably all cowering in fear, but you really should be taking advantage of this moment. We are filled with grown men and women with jobs and little social life. Who knows how many of them have been waiting to cozy up with that special someone? Now, you have them all to yourself, closed up in the Great Hall with only firelight to see. Seems to me that you could get behind the professor’s table and do some damage - or warm someone up.  Remember, if you do something exciting, report it back to me. I’m dreadfully bored waiting to see if we are going to die or not.

Oh yes, happy birthday you misguided bundle of smiles. Has your sister not told you yet? Every year you grow older is another year closer to adult responsibilities. Are you prepared? I am sure dearest Mum and Da are ready for you to take your place in Wizarding Society. That’s why they have given you a husban--oh, wait. My mistake. You are still dreadfully single. Better hurry up, I her Weston Selwyn only like them young.

Happy Valentines Day, lovers and haters.

Hogwarts has something wonderful in store for you. This weekend, February 16th, they are throwing you a Valentines Day Party. Why? I’m not sure. It isn’t as if you’ve been good boys and girls, giving me all the gossip I so strongly desire. Someone must find you miscreants entertaining. It certainly wasn’t me who suggested it.  So, find your red dress, your white, or your pink. It’s going to be here sooner than you think. Find a date, get a smile, who you’re standing by gets talked about for a mile.  Don’t drink the punch. Slughorn may have gotten to it.

The dance begins October 2nd and starters may be made until October 4th at 11:59pm CST.  Starters should be tagged with ufvday Dates are highly suggested. So, start looking outside the castle walls. (Yes, your date does not have to be a Hogwarts student, but cannot be a muggle). The punch is spiked. So, be careful how much you drink.

Muggle Christmas Party!

Albus D. must be absolutely off his medication. His formal theme choice for the Hogwarts Christmas party is muggle. That means no wands, no floating decorations, no blood lollies or screaming mince pies, nothing that would only be found in the wizarding world. Boys, you aren’t even allowed to wear your dress robes. I hope you’ve been shopping or have a really good muggleborn friend. This party is all about tolerance.  Why don’t you go look at the string of lights that, well, doesn’t light up. I suppose Albus forgot that electronics don’t work in Hogwarts. At least he’s trying. If it helps, at least Stubby Boardman’s band is playing. He’s quite clever and has taken all the muggle Christmas songs and turned them into something with a beat.  In addition to that, there is the traditional muggle Christmas dinner: roast turkey, goose, brussel spouts, roast potatoes, cranberry sauce, nutty stuffing, pigs in a blanket, and hot gravy. For dessert, you have fruity pudding with brandy and more candy canes than anyone could struggle to eat. Don’t forget the special Chritmas tradition of Christmas crackers! The students put exploding snaps in Flitwick's office for his birthday and he ended up in the hospital wing for the scare it gave him!

Any leads on who the pranksters were? With everything else going on outside the castle, you’d think the kiddos would be able to focus on their books instead of bowling over their professors.

Our sources tell us that she’s breaking the rules and keeping with a darker bunch of friends–– Leon Travers and Lucius Malfoy included. Perhaps BFF Kiara and former school trouble maker Sirius Black are having a bad influence on her? Or maybe Little G just wants to ditch her sunshine reputation...wonder what your brothers will say about that one, G.

Since Emma always had a penchant for younger men until Edgar, do you think Antonin will be her next victim?

Why not? He’s too young for her, and he’s got the captain spot on the Slytherin team. Perhaps she can relive her glory days in style. At least he’s attractive. A quarter life crisis has never looked so good.

Why does it seem like Hope Borgin has been with Davey Gudgeon a lot? Doesn't she know his status? Pretty faces don't make up for blood.

Uh oh. Will Hope be the next of the Pureblood elite to stray in the name of love…or lust? She’s always been a bit on the quiet side. Maybe her thoughts have been less about her studies and more about the grass being greener on the other side?

There are quite a few pairs who have no idea they'd be perfect together... who do you think really should just make it happen already?

We feel like little ray of sunshine Gladys Gudgeon could take her adorable up another notch and pair off with another cutie like Lucas Abbott.

On the other side of the spectrum, everyone’s favorite charmer Antonin Dolohov needs someone who can keep up with him. Trinity Zabini could possibly catch his eye if she wasn’t holding her head so high all the time. 

We’ve heard a rumor that Kiara Roze is sowing her wild oats outside the castle (what else could all those late nights out on the town be for?), but if she’s got any leftover love to live, our vote goes to someone unpredictable like Stubby Boardman or Ulysses Yannos

Finally, we’re rooting for the so-far underrated Hope Borgin. Often drowned out in the light of her...we’ll say “bolder” counterpart, Hope just isn’t getting the attention she deserves. She may be quiet, but those are always the ones you have to watch out for...aren’t they?
