I'm so excited to share this bind that I collabed on with the amazing thelovelyleviathan! Too much to ask by sadstateofaffairs. The cover they designed is absolutely amazing and perfect for this fic! There's so many details! the tickets, the ticket, the feather, the wrap airplane on the spine!

I had a lot of fun with the typeset as well, matching the color theme to the art, plus the little scarf and whiskey scene breaks. I even painted the edges to match and added holographic HTV to the front!

We had a lot of fun reading each others recommendations before finding this one that we both loved. I made each of us a copy and then I was lucky enough to get some of their super cute Steddie Stands which I immediately set up alongside my Steddie Fanbind Shelf.

New HC just dropped in my head!!!

We all know that Steve Harrington's family is rich, yeah? So, the Harrington family always throws these big birthday bashes for Steve. Just big balloons, the best food, pretty looking cakes, the ultimate presents. But...BUT!

Despite inviting all of his class, nobody shows up to Steve's birthday party. Not a single kid. It's because they don't like him—pretty plain and simple. They find him off-putting, because he's super quiet and often anxious (he has an anxious attachment to his mom and is always so scared to leave her side and go to school), they think he's lame because he isn't interested in anything they are (like space via Star Trek, or things like Jaws, or superheroes...because he wasn't allowed to like such childish things), and they just think his family sucks. That his dad specifically sucks; a lot of them have tried playing with him one on one because their parents want to be friends with Steve's parents, but they've also heard Steve's parents argue and such and just...they hate Steve's parents. They hate Steve's home life. They think his house is too big and creepy. They hate the coldness of Steve's home life.

They don't like Steve—or anything associated with Steve.

Eddie on the other hand?

Eddie gets everybody at his birthday parties. Because his Uncle Wayne is super nice. Wonderful, even. They always have the best food and snacks, they get drinks and treats they usually wouldn't at their parents' houses, etc. (It's because Wayne puts aside a fund every year just for Eddie's birthday. So they make do of what they have. They really make it fun in creative ways). Wayne also lets Eddie like whatever he wants. Wayne is sweet to everybody. Wayne likes to chit chat and check in. Eddie's loud and rambunctious and not afraid to get his hands dirty, he wants to play and roughhouse, he wants to talk and talk about anything people are interested in. Plus, despite the size of the trailer, Eddie's house is just so much more welcoming and warm. They get a big front yard to play in, plus the little park near Forest Hills. And, sometimes, Wayne even loads everybody up in his van (later Eddie's), and they all go get ice cream together.

Obviously, dynamics and personalities change slightly as they get older and Steve forces himself to be appealing. But. Yay...birthdays!

So… @whimsicalwadewinstonwilson came up with this insanely fun idea of steddie dressed up as Morticia and Gomez for Halloween with Max as Wednesday and Dustin as Pugsley. In case it’s hard to recognise the rest, there is Nancy as Fester, Robin as Grandmama and Jonathan as Lurch here. This was so much fun to draw, I was truly blessed with this idea. I’m so obsessed with Morticia Eddie now, it’s unhealthy. And I feel like I’m not done with this yet.

Also, I think they bought Max’s doll from Erica to decapitate it, because it was cheaper then buying a new and nice one. Erica didn’t need it anyway, but they didn’t need to know that, because free movie renting for a month doesn’t come along every day (assuming Steve and Robin still have their jobs).

Also, I think Eddie made Thing out of papier mache (with Steve trying to help by distracting him from the task) because who else could make this? He’s gonna put it proudly on the shelf in the living room after the event, or keep it on the bedside table as a ring holder. He helped the girls with sewing costumes, too, because he can sew pretty well in my headcanon. They applied makeup together and swapped nail polish.

Also, girls couldn’t decide who should be dressing as Morticia, so Eddie heroically spared them from the impossible choice (Steve’s idea, but he put it as a joke initially, secretly feeling a little hot about it). Everyone agreed it’d be fun.

And also, I NEED a fic about this Halloween 😫 it’d be EPIC. Argyle as Cousin Itt?

(Btw steve and stevie are not twins or something. This was like some parallel universe stuff and they ended up with the fem version of steve for a short time, until they (mostly dustin) would work the whole thing out and send stevie back in her universe.)
