The au is currently being rewritten....

8 years after its creation, the au is being rewritten with many new changes, updated knowledge and more...

I made this au when I was only 17 years old and didn't know as much about the yōkai, the culture and the history and more of Japan as I do now ( so I truly apologize in advance for any triggering, cringy or "angsty" things that are in those old posts ). Now I'm 25 ( somehow ) and somehow undertale and the au managed to get me back with open arms and love after I had been through so many good, bad and questionable things since I last looked at this au and all.

Right now the biggest change ( besides from the profile pic and all ) are that I have changed the tags of the old artworks to "the old au" to be able to seperate the old ones and the new ones that will come out here in the future. The reason why they are still here is to teach both new and old artists, undertale fans and more that it's okay to make mistakes when you were young and to learn from it rather than covering it up and running away. I want everyone to learn that it's okay to be cringe and free with making whatever they want, to love their creations no matter how it looks now or back then when they were young and had started to make something out of love and passion, I want them to know that doing the things they love now is healing and helping the inner child they have inside because despite everything, it's still them.

I hope that those who sees this and follows this blog will like the changes I'll make to the au and other content for it that'll be posted in the future ❤

I THINK I COOKED IT TOO MUCH HELP! 😱 Seriously though I drew Undyne for my au Underyokai in the genocide route in a Japanese woodblock ( ukiyo-e ) style, it took me 14 hours and 28 minutes to make this and it was worth all the sleep problems and wrist pain 😅

Altough the other two are both for fun and for a potential and possible chance of making another playlist to be his second ”album” I still hope you like them! The game but especially Mettaton changed my life for the better 10 years ago and I can’t thank it nor Toby fox enough so happy birthday undertale!

If you have seen this before on instagram and TikTok then you might have seen at least the front cover of this months earlier before I posted the Hotland part of the au, but I not only have created a fake album cover for Mettaton AND also created a playlist featuring the songs listed on the back side of the cover!

Also, pretty much everything on these two covers AND the songs has little Easter eggs, references, meanings and little messages about his past and such 🤭 have fun finding them and figuring them out! Otherwise if no one is able to solve it and show the messages and such I’ll then reblog this with the messages and such and what the songs means too!

Snowdin reveal part 2: Npcs, town and food

After some time I can finally reveal more of Snowdin before moving on to Waterfall. I know that it's a bit late by a day but happy late easter anyways and let's get the reveals started!

We have first the npcs, with most of them having quite a lot of changes ( ♌︎□︎⧫︎♒︎ ♑︎□︎□︎♎︎ ♋︎■︎♎︎ ♌︎♋︎♎︎ ), I have forgotten to mention it on it but Monster kid here is mostly based of both the yokai Imori and a tiny bit Hōnengyo. If you don't know ( somehow but that's okay ) what Jerry is then to easily explain it, he's based of the stereotype of a weeboo ( Jerry here is not Japanese btw, but everyone hates him due to obvs reasons if you see the body pillow ).

Onto the town.

I have even included the sign when I designed this. But most of the buildings here are based of the ones that were built during the edo period, the reason to why there's a christmas tree in the middle of Snowdin is because they had heard about christmas from a movie ( it was from the human world ) that was thrown away and had fallen to the underground's trash piles, gotten found by Sans and played it at a the very few movie theaters in the underground and had become a small tradition since then to decorate a tree, putting gifts under it and ofc watch the movie and etc.

Here I thought it would be kind of fun to recreate the iconic scene with Sans and Frisk from my au to the best of my abilities ( this one and the others except for the npcs were drawn and painted on the same paper that's why the details sometimes looks simple lol ).

Now onto the food.

Let's start with the food Sans sells. They're based of the two different versions of okonomiyaki ( Osaka and Hiroshima ) but with small twists. I gave some of the food items here higher hp due to how filling some of them are, so here it's the more filling the food is to Frisk the more hp they get.

Instead of the iconic spaghetti Papyrus makes instead kitsune udon ( a traditional japanese dish ), even though he's not good at it, he still makes them with love.

And last but not least the daifuku-bun. I gave it brown colors ( even tho I know that usually daifuku or mochi in general are white ) as a little homage to the cinnamonbun ( I did also have once ideas on the shop seller having different flavours of the daifuku-bun since they do come in that as well including chocolate but I was too tired and unmotivated to create them but this one lol )

Finally, time to reveal more of this au

( I'm sorry for not posting at all since last time, life got to me 😅🙇🏻‍♀ ).

It is time to finally reveal the first part of the Snowdin part ( or prefecture? ) of the au. However before we start I just want to warn all the Sans and Papyrus fans a big detail about the two brothers, you see in this au I wanted to make a change, a big one in fact to make them stand out more amongst all of the skeletons that exists rn. Anyways let's get this started with the dogs first.

I wanted the colors of their clothes to match with the og sprites but still make them standout through the clothing style, armor and weapons. Most of the dogs here are kind of the same but I did change a bit with Doggo by making him look more like a Akita inu.

Alright, now it's time to reveal the brothers.

I really love with how they turned out but especially with Papyrus ( might be tho because the kitsune is my favorite yokai haha ). What papyrus wears behind those arms btw is a chest and back armor plates with shoulder plates to keep it from falling ( sengoku period ones to be exact ).

Here is also Papyrus's two other outfits just like what the og one had. I did ofc make soem changes but I honestly am glad that I did that.

Although the others in the ruins are the same ( due to no more ideas about them and I needed to save some time so I can finally post this ) I still thought maybe it would be fun if I did at least a few of them with some small references to things. I also wanted to change some things on some of the main and side characters to spice some things up a bit and to keep those who actually read this excited for the others so get ready ( and I apologize in advance for any character’s design that will make you loose your marbles ).
