Florence Delorez Griffith Joyner is an American athlete who competed in track and field in the late 1980s. She is known as the fastest woman of all time. The world records in 100 m and 200 m she set in 1988 in Seoul still stand and nobody has seriously challenged it yet. Flo Jo is also known for her beauty and flashy personal style. She died in 1998 in her sleep as the result of an epileptic seizure, but she still lives in our hearts.

This is important content cuz it touches on one of the more overlooked aspects of the recent altright encroachment: a lot of it is about doing it “for the lulz”. Making traditionally marginalized groups angry or reactive is a form of entertainment for some, and the fact that happens to work towards reclaiming white male supremacy for them is more of a secondary bonus. That’s what makes it so difficult to logically or “correctly” combat it; the most forward face isn’t an ideology or philosophy, so to speak, but rather a form of indulgence.
