Part of my brain keeps saying ‘I want to die’
The other part says ‘No you don’t you want the pain to end.’
The other continues to chant ‘I want to die.’
The other replies ‘You don’t. You know you don’t.’
The other responds ‘Then what do I want?’
The other pauses, then with a heavy sigh says ‘I don’t know.’
‘I want to die.’
‘You want to live.’
‘I want this to end.’
‘You want to see what life has in store for you.’
‘I don’t want to exist.’
‘You’ve already made a good difference.’
‘I’m hurting.’
‘You’re stronger than this.’
‘I don’t think I am.’
‘You said that years ago, here you are.’
‘I can’t do this anymore.’
‘You can. I know you can.’
‘I want to give up.’
‘You can’t give up.’
‘I want to stop.’
‘Keep moving forward.’
