“that’s sounds like a you problem” is literally one of the funniest ways to respond to criticism
I laughed and then got really sad
Everyone should know the international sign for Help Me. Let’s make this famous!!
Interesting; I didn't know this was a thing.
It’s apparently a thing, but it’s a very new thing, so it may need some help being known.

I'm begging ya'll not to skip medication/therapy/doctors appointments because you've been feeling better.
You're feeling better because of your regime. Because of the time & effort you have put into treatment. Don't set yourself up for a relapse by skipping.

We Need To Talk About Climate Change, Tornadoes, and "Dixie Alley"
My post yesterday got me thinking about how no one on this site has ever really discussed the repercussions of the transition of the US hotbed of tornadoes from the Great Plains to the Southeast US, often nicknamed "Dixie Alley."
The US Southeast has the highest concentration of pre-fab homes and homes without sturdy walls of anywhere in the nation. Basically, these are some of the poorest communities in the US and climate change is pointing the tornado gun squarely at them. This is a MASSIVE problem for the following reasons:
Weak homes lead to more injuries and deaths.
Low-income communities will have a harder time recovering from disaster.
Less access to community services to help both before and after a disaster.
Potential for less education about what to do during a tornado.
Also, more tornadoes are happening at night when people are sleeping. A weather radio can help, but at $35 a pop (unless on sale), a weather radio can cost as much as a few days of food for a low-income family. As much as I emphasize how important weather radios are, I speak from a place of privilege where I can throw $35 at a weather radio and not think about it.
There's probably a bunch of other issues I haven't even considered here, so if you think of something, go ahead and add it. I just really wanted to point out the alarming change in tornado activity in the Southeast and why it's important that we pay attention to it in climate change conversations and conversations about race and wages.
Here are some articles to read more:
That could triple the possibility of disasters, and one of the study's authors says climate change could be the reason for the apparent move
Social vulnerabilities in the region, such as the prevalence of mobile homes, highlight the need for educating residents about storm risks
honestly it really sucks how undervalued tarot readers are online...
like, if I posted offering free readings right now I’d probably get 70+ messages. but the second I ask for $1, or .25 cents, or even an IG follow in return.... crickets. not to mention that some people will absolutely blow up your messages if you don’t respond within a few minutes.
there’s something that feels weird about someone messaging you begging for support and guidance, but only if you get nothing in return. like I know people don’t even look at my pricing (which is extremely low btw), they just dip as soon as they find out it costs anything.
there are so many posts on here reminding people that readings take time, readings take energy, readings are usually upwards of $20-$50 irl, readers are human beings with lives and feelings... reminding people that receiving a valuable service for FREE is a privilege not to be taken for granted.. but it still happens. Idk what to say about it anymore
This is a reminder that tumblr and online readers offer their services at extremely low prices. I work with a professional psychic, and she charges $185 an hour. I'm also working with a professional tarot reader, and she charges $60 for half an hour. So please appreciate the time and effort that online readers provide, and compensate them fairly
