In the presence of historical evil? I am brown yet I am more truthful than the white president I am brown yet I do not greet whites with violence They persecute, they belittle, they dehumanize The browner we are the less we deserve The browner we are the more they detest There’s more brown than white Dark skin is not the least common We are not a minority Our lives are just treated as minor
