Like imagine being Charlotte. Your dad's species was nearly wiped out and he himself almost died yet he still managed to help stop an entire war between Guests and Bacon Hairs. You have a mostly normal childhood aside from moving a lot until you get to high school and now suddenly people are going missing, you find out you have psychic powers descended from the very first Guest, and said Guest has become an unstoppable demon
Like what the fuck do you even do
I honestly don't blame her if Charlotte ever crashes out, she has every damn reason too.
And the fact her dad is very well known, meaning that there will be people trying to be friends with her JUST because of that💔
OMG I've never thought of that because the idea never passed me but what if Vicky and her friends(from blox watch) were only asking to sit with her at lunch because they want to meet her dad
I MEAN I CAN JUST TELL
Because remember how they were talking about him? I know damn well that if Charlotte's dad wasn't Guest1337, then they'd either bully her or just ignore her
swap au/killer charlie concept ! (forsaken/blox watch/the last guest)
extra under the cut.

Shes usually in Sebastians shop, sleeping or reading files on the balcony. Sometimes she's scavenging or keeping Painter company, but it became less frequent as she became ill.

Yeah I ship her with Sebastian, obviously.
It’s sad how much of what is taught in school is useless to over 99% of the population.
There are literally math concepts taught in high school and middle school that are only used in extremely specialized fields or that are even so outdated they aren’t used anymore!
I took calculus my senior year of high school, and I really liked the way our teacher framed this on the first day of class.
He asked somebody to raise their hand and ask him when we would use calculus in our everyday life. So one student rose their hand and asked, “When are we going to use this in our everyday life?”
“NEVER!!” the teacher exclaimed. “You will never use calculus in your normal, everyday life. In fact, very few of you will use it in your professional careers either.” Then he paused. “So would you like to know why should care?”
Several us nodded.
He picked out one of the varsity football players in the class. “You practice football a lot during the week, right Tim?” asked the teacher.
“Yeah,” replied Tim. “Almost every day.”
“Do you and your teammates ever lift weights during practice?”
“Yeah. Tuesdays and Thursdays we spend a lot of practice in the weight room.”
“But why?” asked the teacher. “Is there ever going to be a play your coach tells you use during a game that requires you to bench press the other team?”
“No, of course not.”
“Then why lift weights?”
“Because it makes us stronger,” said Tim.
“Bingo!!” said the teacher. “It’s the same thing with calculus. You’re not here because you’re going to use calculus in your everyday life. You’re here because calculus is weightlifting for your brain.”
And I’ve never forgotten that.
THIS.
When it’s taught right, learning math teaches you logic and how to organize your brain, how to take a problem one step at a time and make sure every step can bear weight before you move to the next one. Most adults don’t need to know integrals, but goddamn if I don’t wish everyone making arguments on the internet understood geometric proofs.
Scientific concepts broaden our understanding of how the world is put together, which does not mean that most adults ever really understand how light is refracted through a lens or why spinning copper wire creates electricity–and they don’t need to. But science classes in general are meant to teach the scientific method: how to make observations and use them to draw conclusions, how to test those conclusions, how to be wrong and grow stronger from it.
History isn’t about dates and names of battles, it’s about people, patterns, things we’ve tried before and ought to learn from. It’s about how everything is linked, how changing one circumstance can lead to changes in fifty others, cascading infinitely. Literature is about critical thinking, pattern recognition, learning to listen to what somebody is saying and decide what it means to you, how you feel about it, and what you want to do with it.
Some facts matter: every adult should know how to read a graph, how global warming works, some of the basic themes and symbols that crop up in every piece of fiction. But ultimately, content is less important later in life than context.
The good thing is, students who learn the content are likely to pick up at least some of the context, some of the patterns of thinking, even if they don’t realize it. (The unfortunate thing is how the current educational system prioritizes content so much that a lot of students, and a lot of adults, don’t see the point in learning either, and teachers are overworked and held to standardize test grading scales such that it’s hard for them to emphasize patterns of thinking over rote memorization, etc etc etc, but that is a whole different discussion.)
I would also add that giving as broad an education to as many as possible gives everyone the opportunity to follow a career that might use calculus. Or colour theory. Or electromagnetism. Or [insert specialism here]. If we gatekeep specialisms, those careers are only available for the ones who were privileged enough to have the background training. That’s why Classics as a degree subject is full of private school kids: it’s not offered in state education.
I think my general thought process with interacting with other people online is like yeah you have really cool art. You have really cool writing. You're really good at that thing you're posting about, but are you nice?
Are you non-judgemental? If someone was able to show you a creative project or a photo of their room, would you have nothing negative or unsolicited advice to give?
Are you polite to people online because its primarily good for your reputation on your username, or is it something you do automatically? When you make a social mistake, do you first think of how it reflects back on you in the eyes of others? Or how the other person feels in their shoes? Are you more concerned about your reputation or the sense of community?
Do you respond nicely to commenters who 'just don't get' the project you're working on? Even if they are a little rude or misguided? This is not to say don't block anyone ever, do that too! But is being nice with an attempt at understanding your first course of action? Do you practice having good faith when you interact with a conflict online?
Can you compliment someone without comparing them to someone else, like another creator? Maybe someone with an art style or hc you don't vibe with. Are you able to lift up your fellow creatives without creating a habit of using others as a stepping ladder, even if you don't like them. Do you consider your friend's feelings when you put them in that situation?
Do you respect the people that obsess over the tv show/game/ship/whatever that you cannot stand even if its overrated? What about things that are unpopular? Do you group people together by a single shared interest/disinterest and carry a preconceived opinion of them based on that? Do you attribute the value of an idea by its prominence, and (even if unknowingly) assign negative or positive connection to it and the people that like it? (<This reflection does not apply to harmful things with real world consequences, such as HP.)
If you're someone who consumes more than they create, do you practice boundaries? Do you check for consent before sending a stranger a suggestive/nsfw message even if they are creator who makes adult content? Do you remember that creators are people with lives outside of content, and cannot pump out content continuously? Nor will they forever stay creating the same things you want to see?
If you recognize some not-so-nice behaviors, do you know that you can break bad habits, or are you comfortable with them considering they've become social norm of internet and influencer culture? Do you remember that people interacting with you are real people and not NPCS?
It's okay to say that you've had trouble with that. Short, near minuscule interactions with hundreds, thousands of people every day on the world wide web such as likes, reblogs, ect have trained our brains into seeing usernames as texts on a screen in our notifications and not registering as a human interaction, and about as common as ads are nowadays.
But did you know that you can rewire your brain away from that? Aren't you tired of going ape shit? Don't you just want to be nice?
Reminded me of your art
