I am not sure if the dining hall desserts are actually making a come back, or if my standards for their desserts are just that low.
Strawberry Cheesecake
Cather Dining Hall
Flavor: Actually, pretty good. I was sooo surprised when I took my first bite of this thing. The flavor was that of a true cheesecake; you could tell that they actually put some time and effort into making this dessert, flavor wise that is. The only downside of the cheesecake is the fact that the strawberry topping was so artificial and fake that it nearly ruined the overall expereience
Consistency: Also, very much spot on. The cheesecake was creamy and dense like that of a New York style cheesecake, and I was honestly so shook. The crust was a little crumbly, but I really didn’t expect anything else from an obviously store bought gram-cracker crust.
Aesthetics: Terrible. You can obviously tell from the photo that they gave literally no shits when plating the pieces of cheesecake. There was crust, cheesecake chunks, and strawberry topping everywhere. I feel like they could have definitely tired a little harder on the presentation. I low key got an uneasy feeling when I first saw it because I thought, here we go again, another complete disappointment.
What Type of Person Would it Be?: The friend that you are unsure as to how you guys became friends. This cheesecake is the type of person that is kind of an outsider that is really not considered a part of the friend group, or squad if you will, but is also not an acquaintance.
Overall Rating: 7
