I…. I was about five years clean of sh and now, now I’m barely five minutes clean. Everything was healed, everything was fading and some, some you couldn’t even tell they existed. But now, now there are new ones, new ones that are still bleeding and unhealed, burning against my clothe.

“I’m trying to achieve perfection duh”. Taking advantage of the spoken words the photographer decided to take it upon themselves to make the artist relax a little bit. “I’d say you’re already pretty perfect, wouldn’t you?” Yes, the words were cheesier than fondue and our photographer was aware of that, but since the young one’s cheeks turned a bright pink, and their attention was clearly no longer on the act of drawing the angel’s wings, they didn’t mind spewing the cheesiest lines to ease the frustration the younger one was feeling. “You know I meant the drawing” “Did I?” The young one’s cheeks started to turn a slight deeper red and the photographer chuckled at the clearly flustered artist

Broken but thinking of others.

Being empathetic and at some level suicidal is one helluva situation to be in. On the one hand, I want out of this world so badly it hurts and I don’t know how long before everything shatters me to no return. But on the other hand, I can’t possibly think of unaliving myself because of all the pain it could cause others around me. So I’m just left with the yearning to disappear from this earth without a trace of my existence being left behind. And the knowledge that that will never be a possibility.
