Make your muse into a parfait!

The Doctor Kantalo parfait is Neapolitan in design to reflect the amalgamation she is.  From top down, you start with strawberry and chocolate fudge ice cream, soft serve vanilla with chocolate sauce, two chocolate and hazelnut Crème de Pirouline cookies, fresh strawberries, and fresh banana slices. Under that is a thick and rich chocolate pudding with a thin layer of vanilla to enjoy with the strawberry jello that has a rose scent and taste due to it being made with rose water. The rose taste and bouquet is further accentuated with green edible rose petals. The rose petals were originally white but became green through food coloring being added to their water source. The final layers consist of banana pudding with fresh strawberry slices and crumbly Lotus Biscoff cookie bits at the bottom to end the experience.

Not a soul was spared when he was finished with them; they were target practice, as far as he was concerned. From the looks of things, it made him gain respect as the Prince grew much stronger and wiser. So he wasn’t surprised when the scientist quickly joined his side. He gave her a strange look as soon as the rather unnatural gushing started. 

❝Of course I’m growing. I will only grow much more stronger too. I am the Prince of all Saiyans. I will surpass my father one day, and I will be the strongest in the Universe,❞ he claimed with an unwavering confidence. The boy may have been very young, but already he had many goals set in his mind, and he was going to achieve them all, one by one.

It pleased her to see such self-confidence and ambition from the prince. A healthy pair of personality traits in any Saiyan warrior. Especially for a future ruler of such headstrong people. Finishing her sketch and putting the notebook away into her pocket, Dr. Kantalo nodded with enthusiasm while responding with, “Oh of course. Pardon my earlier behavior. It’s not every day I meet a Saiyan prince.” She then bowed to him before holding out her hand to adhere to the royal and respectful colleague etiquette. “I’m Doctor Kantalo, Xenobiologist and ambassador for the Cold Empire. I know you have scientists who study you rigorously already, so I’m just one of the many you should expect to see from time to time. Tell me, how exactly do you plan to become the strongest in the universe?” The question wasn’t posed in a condescending tone, rather it was one asked with intrigue to see how much thought was put into his aspirations of ultimate strength.

FREE HOT MEAL?!

“WHA– OW!” Kallion looked up from her pod so fast, that she busted her head against the door. Great, she thought. Now I gotta fix the stupid door too. 

How they even trusted her to fix it on an empty stomach was beyond her knowledge– of course, she was too young to understand that they demanded she do it out of spite. After all, the pod was only damaged because she stomped too close in her Great Ape form. As a result, she was left without food for a whole afternoon.

But now, that would change! They wouldn’t give her food, but someone else could without consequence. And boy, was her mouth watering at the thought. The very concept of food was enough to make her forget about the other part of this strangers announcement.

“M-M-Meal…?” She shyly wandered up to the mysterious woman– clearly not a Saiyan, but definitely a member of Frieza’s force. Not an unusual sight on Planet Vegeta. “Can I have some?!” 

She reached for the woman’s bag before even finishing her question. “Is it meat?!”

Ah, at last an interested volunteer! 

“Of course it can be!” Dr. Kantalo enthusiastically responded, not minding the girl’s curiosity and her digging into her bag that had the exotic sweets. “Growing Saiyan warriors need lots of protien in their diet. Among other nutrients, but I know you and your kind crave it the most. Ah! How silly of me to not realize it sooner!” Realizing she was looking in her bag for meat, she giggled and added, “I’m afraid you won’t find the meal in there. Only sweets, but take some if you’d like. I’ll buy you food wherever you’d like to go. I only ask for you to engage in an intellectual inquiry of your people and culture. Particularly with local folklore that’s popular. I have some questions about one in particular.” Dr. Kantalo then gestured with her gloved hand away from the landing area out towards the marketplace and restaurant areas of Planet Vegeta. “Would you like to lead the way?”

The scream made her flinch and jump back defensively, freeing Shallot’s tail from the weight of her foot. Immediately she felt a wave of guilt, causing her to frown sympathetically at Shallot. “Oh no! I’m so terribly sorry! I-I was following a fascinating beetle I’ve never seen before, I didn’t notice your tail!” Her own curled up behind her as she tried not to imagine the pain he was feeling. 

“I could set the bones back in place,” she offered with a nervous smile, already anticipating his rightful frustration with her to continue. “I’m a doctor! Well, Xenobiologist if you want to get technical, but I know how to set bones back in place. Happens frequently enough even in my line of work.”

An ungodly scream breaks through the canyon valley as a sickening crack plays along with it in a horrible duet. 

“”M-My tail..” It was lip underneath the careless lizard’s foot. His eyes were watering and he could feel his veins popping in anger,

 “MY TAIL!!!”

“Nion?” Dr. Kantalo softly called out the name of the female scientist she was looking for while slowly entering the chamber where elite warriors were growing in nursing pods. She’s been looking for Nion for awhile now, and was hoping that one of the voices she was hearing in this room belonged to her. 

Soon enough, the Xenobiologist found out that Nion was indeed here, but she wasn’t happy with what she saw. She was speaking in hushed but harsh tone with a low-class Saiyan boy. A familiar looking low-class Saiyan boy. It’s been some time since she assisted Nion in her genetic experiment with him, and his skin has darkened compared to how it was when she last saw him, but the unique way the spikes of his hair formed into what looked like horns made this boy stand out from other similar-looking low level Saiyans to Dr. Kantalo’s eyes. It had to be Turles. Not wanting to interrupt them, she quietly stood by and observed with a look of concern and discomfort.

A PTO scientist Vegeta hasn’t met before now was watching him train against the saibamen today. When he was done, she was smiling and seemed in awe to get the chance to talk to him. “Aww look at you, your highness! The last time I saw you, you were still in your nursing pod! AHHH!!!” It wasn’t very dignified, nor professional of her to be gushing like this, but there was so much fuss over the little Prince from the day he was born. So it was exciting for her to finally have a chance to see the boy walking and talking at last. He’s been out of his nursing pod for at least a year or two. What a shame to miss out on that time in his growth. But Lord Frieza gave her other things to do out in the galaxy to help expand the Cold Empire.  Without thinking much of it she withdrew a notebook attached to a clipboard and began to sketch the child on the page after a drawing of him in his nursing pod. “You’ve even grown a little bit! I’d estimate a few centimeters.”

Bardock probably wasn’t expecting an alien scientist a foot shorter than he was to be part of his welcoming party back home on Planet Vegeta, but there she was. “Greetings Saiyan warrior! How was your planet purging mission. Successful, I take it?”

“IT’S FOR RESEARCH!”

Upon being ignored by the mass of low-class Saiyan children who passed her by in the pod-landing zone of Planet Vegeta, Dr. Kantalo’s usual smile faded as her mood fell into confusion and disappointment. “I don’t understand why this isn’t working,” she sighed and continued to talk to herself. “Perhaps I should be offering something savory? They could be returning hungrier than I anticipated.” This went against her hypothesis that the candy bribe would work. Perhaps not all children in the galaxy craved candy? In that moment the Xenobiologist realized that maybe these children didn’t even know what candy was. Ah...there was the unforseen issue!

With a new idea in mind, she smiled again and promise a new sort of reward to willing participants. 

“FREE HOT MEAL! FREE HOT MEAL IN EXCHANGE FOR FOLKLORE AND LEGENDS! IT’S FOR RESEARCH!”

“My oh my. Turles! You’ve grown into quite the nefarious space pirate. Or so I’ve heard. Lord Frieza hasn’t been pleased with your escapades involving the planets he sets his eyes on conquering. I can’t say I’m happy about your actions either. Especially when I’ve worked so hard to find enough value in those planets and their inhabitants so they can be spared.”

These off-handed remarks are spoken in her usual cheery tune, and the doctor’s smile never wavered either. 

Yet it’s clear that the air is tense with hostility between these two.

Lifting her injection gun up, the reptoid chimera inquired merrily, “Tell me, are you all caught up on all your vaccinations? I have a very special serum I’ve created with you in mind.”
