@unpointysockart
made a little comic
drew part of a Blathers because I was too tired to draw the rest of the owl.
used https://www.animal-photo-references.com/great-horned-owls and the game model for references, and drew in the ArtFlow app on my phone
playing with panel/button colors
I've had a lot more practice with 3D modeling since I last posted. Currently working on a little diner kitchen. Next thing to work on is some textures for the ingredients, since I'm not planning on using that much tomato sauce for anything ever, lol.
leveling up my pixel art skills! here's an improved version of the dog from the previous post, with a smaller pixel count and random colors marking out different moving parts for animation.
working on a silhouette for a dog sprite
this is the plan for the "town square" part of my space game. the two buildings in the middle are the small galactic govt office and the science building. both are combined living/working areas, which is why one of the goals of the game is going to be building living spaces for the npcs.
the nine squares surrounding the two buildings are landing pads for space ships. most of them won't be in use for a while, but i want them in the game from the beginning so i dont have to find space for them later.
im taking inspiration from animal crossing and stardew valley. im not expecting to be anywhere near demo stage any time soon, but i'm having fun so far :)
Working on a puzzle game for a game jam. I overbooked myself a little this week, so I'm hoping I finish it before the deadline. If not, the idea makes me laugh a little too much, so I will probably try to finish it anyway :)
learning how to make some trees in blender! made the textures for my leaves and little branches in aseprite, which is why they look kind of alien.
working on blocking out a little space rv and the impact crater where it crash lands in blender
still working on this little guy! I spent probably way too much time trying to figure out the hands today.
playing around with a tabbed game menu with a scrollable slot inventory
taking a break from watering cans for now, but sticking with the gardening theme for my 3d models. i've been thinking through removable dirt and how to make it so i can add in some plants later.
