The cleanest freshwater river and the sound of waterfalls close by. Cleaaar lungs to take in all the fresh air after weeks of sickness. Meeting kind people along the river who share their stories and rave on about their love for Australia ❤️. The warmth of the sun peaking through onto my skin on otherwise a reaaal cold morning. A soothing hot tea in hand to follow. Making future travel/dream plans while still deep into my current travels. My bestfriend by my side 🤼‍♀️. The bus arriving at the exact moment we finished the trail. Yesterdays 9hr hike! The goal was to make it to the very peak of #HoherGöll mountain @ 2500m elevation. The closer @dddddaniellee and I got to the top, the harder the trail became and the more we were warned by the pro hikers passing by of the 'dangers' ahead (while pointing at our inappropriate hiking attire 😅). Must admit, it took a while for our stubborn/yolo side to back down, but eventually our senses kicked in and we turned around, making it the 2200m point overall. Super happy with our efforts nonetheless but even more happy I got to share this crazy incredible and challenging experience with one of my closest! Only occasionally do I come across a place where I feel like I didn't get enough time to experience all its beauty and history (ahem #thesoundofmusic 😍).
